Stamp On It! {paper issues}

Pretty darn excited to be a part of the Paper Issues Stamp On It! latest challenge, sponsored by Hero Arts. How cute is this adorable deer stamp from Hero Arts?! I was quite excited to get to work with this stamp for the challenge. It gave me an excuse to have a visit with my neglected Copics.

I also used the Pink Paislee City Sidewalks Parcel Tags — which you can scoop up in the Paper Issues store. Use my coupon code DIANA20 for 20% off your total order!

And there's a yummy prize for this challenge! Here are 2 different stamp sets that Hero Arts is giving away.

To be eligible for the prize, all you have to do is:
3. Leave a comment that you did both
4. Link up a project for a Bonus entry

Hop around to the rest of these ladies' blogs for some snazzy stamping inspiration and even more chances to win!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope to see you sharing your stamping projects at Paper Issues. Remember, they don't have to be new — so anything goes as long as it's stamping. Get to linkin' for that bonus entry!

Way to go!

Today is a great day. Today my son graduates from Pre-K. I am so excited to see what they've been up to for their ceremony. Nate's been talking about the DVD, the song, how they practice calling their names and going to the front... I am so excited!!!

I made this card for Nate to celebrate his graduation. We are having a dinner beforehand, and we have a little present for him, too. He loves the Olivia books, and has been begging for this little stuffed animal of Olivia dressed as a pirate, so we got that for him, too. Like I said ... SO EXCITED!

I needed some inspiration to get this card going, so I played along at a few places. Here they are:
Some Odd Girl has a manly challenge (and a DT Call, if you are interested)
• The Paper Variety also wants to see projects for the guys
• I used a card sketch at Card Patterns

My tip for this card ... I used the bike stamp from Hero Arts, and to make it more "guy-friendly" I cut off the basket. SIMPLE! Such an easy way to make your stamps more versatile. Take a look at what you have in your stash already that can be altered instead of purchasing gender-specific materials.

Thanks so much for checking in with my blog today. Like I said ... It's gonna be a great day! Have a fabulous weekend!!

Home Tweet Home

Happy Monday! Here's a simple card for you today. I haven't been feeling 100% lately, so this is gonna be a fast post. I wanted to still share something with you, though, because I have been super busy creating the past week. Lots coming your way soon!!

I won a copy of the Hero Arts 2011 Catalog on Twitter and they were nice enough to also include this wreath stamp with the catalog. Of course, I had to use it right away! :) And I love me some birdies.

I hope everyone is having a fab Monday! Thanks for swinging by here today!!

hero arts, quickutz and a little sassafras

Over at Hero Arts' blog and QK's blog they are having a joint blog week. They have been giving away great prizes and encouraging readers to make a card using both HA and QK products. So I did! This is my card.

And, because I am a total Sassafras fan as well, Sassafras was encouraging readers to use the old with the new. So, I got out an old Wee Bundle I had of Sassafras to cut the QK bird out, and used some new Vintage Yummy for the PP in the card.

I just love how cute this turned out. Thanks for looking. And don't forget to read your fave scrappy blogs today!

*UPDATE: So excited, this card was on the
Sassafras Blog today!*

PS: As I went to link the blogs in this post, I saw that I won yesterday's giveaway on QK!!! Yeah! Here is what I won, so excited!

mother's day butterfly card idea

Happy Mother's Day week! Moms love homemade gifts, and they have since you smashed your tiny little fist in plaster and called it art.

This week I am going to share with you some cards and gift ideas for Mother's Day gift ideas. We'll start with a cute card. I used Hero Arts stamp sets (Birds and Branches and Anytime Messages), black ink and watercolor pencils. Double-sided foam tape keep the butterflies and birdhouse up popped up off the paper.

Get crafty this week and surprise mom with a cute card! Check back all week for more cute cards and homemade gifts.
