great kit for holiday and everyday available now!

The Nov./Dec. kit for Inspired to Scrap is now available for purchase!

This kit is chock full of wonderful papers from Pink Paislee and My Mind's Eye. If you love glitter, this kit—Glittered Wonderland—is for you! There are also wonderful Maya Road chipboard pieces as well as mist.

And I have to say, I love how well the mist covers the chipboard. It dried quickly and had full coverage—very pleasantly surprised.

There's also a really great combo deal if you get this kit and the first kit right now in the store. (There's only a few left of the first kit, which you saw my work with HERE on this post.)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Any plans for Halloween? Would love to hear about them!!! Who's dressing up with their kids?

Great Sass and Paislee

Hello! It's Friday, and that means it's time for the Round Up post for the Flamingo Scraps blog. This is the end of my October GDT spot with Flamingo Scraps (insert frowny face here—I've loved my month with the FS gals!).

For the Round Up post, all of the GDT members get together and share what they've been working on using their Flamingo Scraps product. You have to check out all of the projects—great ideas over there today!

I was especially excited to finally get to work with some Sassafras Lass Indie Girl. I have admired and loved this line ever since it started popping up on other blogs. It's so fresh, bright and fun.

Remember this flower? I made these flowers for my post two Tuesdays ago at Flamingo Scraps. I was saving the flowers for when I was ready to make my layout, and it worked out perfectly. You can see that post HERE.

I also chose to work with the Pink Paislee Old School Collection. I've been all over the new school-related lines that were revealed the past few months, and the PP one did not disappoint.

Thanks for reading my Round Up post today. I have thoroughly enjoyed my month with the gals at Flamingo Scraps and thank them from the bottom of my heart for having me. I HIGHLY recommend shopping with them. Great product. Excellent variety. Exceptional service. And most importantly appreciative, fun and nice ladies to deal with. I don't know about you, but I love knowing my sale matters to the seller. You're more than just a dollar to Susan, Suzanne and Amanda.

OK... off my soapbox. :) Enjoy your Friday!! Got anything scrappy planned? I'd love to hear about it!

pun'kin painting, a kit to win and a new sketch

Hello! I'm so excited to share this page with you! A little while before I was on the DT for Inspired to Scrap, Stacey scooped up a week to sponsor Sketchy Thursdays. Little did I know that by the time the sponsorship came around, I would be using the very kit she is giving away on ST to make that week's reveal page.

I just love when things work out like that!

This latest Sketchy Thursdays sketch is posted and ready for you to play along. And I know you'll want a chance at the I2S Nov./Dec. kit up for grabs. As well as the choice of class prize, too. In working with Stacey, Valerie and in Oct., Angie, to build the classes, I know this is an opportunity you'll want to scoop up.

You have until 10 p.m. (EST) on Wed., Nov. 3 to link up your entry to the Mr. Linky on the Sketchy Thursdays blog. Scoot on over there to see what the DT has for you this week. Fabulous, as always!!

Altered printer tray and Scrapbook Circle

Hi there! It's Wednesday, and I'm sharing with you the 4x6 7gysies printer try that I altered with items from the Scrapbook Circle November kit—on sale Nov. 1!

This kit is right up my alley. It seriously matches my house. Browns, blues, even reds and oranges with great texture and patterns.

Since I had to cut up so much of my paper in order to make the printer tray, I made these cute teacher gift tags with the scraps from the tray. Their names were left off in this image, but Nate's two Pre-K teachers will get these when he gives them their teacher gifts this year.

I am so excited about this kit. Everything I've made using the Nov. kit from Scrapbook Circle is a new favorite.

I'd love hear about your "new favorite" page. If you can, link it up in the comments section so I can leave your page some love on your blog!!! I feel like hoppin' around.

Inspired to Scrap fall kit

Happy Monday!

When I got the "Monster"ously Fun fall kit from Inspired to Scrap, I was immediately drawn to the bright colors and fun patterns. Rumor has it there are still a few left, I believe, so if you'd like to get one all for your very own, head on over to I2S and claim one of your very own!

Here is a page I made using the kit. I used this past Thursday's Design Dollies sketch. Check it out!! Those girls have some great stuff going on over there.

And I have to tell you about the journaling. I was having a mental block, so I asked Nate, "What do you love about your Legos?" His answer: "It's when I get to play with Daddy." Melt my heart!

I also made some cards with the kit. This is a birthday card that's about to be mailed today. Can't say whose... he may read this post, never know! :)

And this card will probably be for Thanksgiving. The I2S fall kit has fabric swatches, sheets of Kraft, great textures and flowers. I think this card does a great job of showing the feminine potential in the kit aside from the fun Bella Blvd and Jillibean Soup that's in the kit.

There you have it! Hopefully if you're in the market for a kit you'll consider one of the remaining I2S kits. And this week I'll also begin showing you the Nov. kit. If you love glitter, misting, My Mind's Eye, Holly Jolly... (just as a hint)... this is the kit for you!

Have a great Monday!

I just placed an order with {embellish*ology} and remembered that I've yet to share some of my recent DT work with you.

I absolutely love working with Heather's tags, and I think you will, too. You can view her blog here.

Most importantly, you can SHOP here. And the shopping is the important part, right?! :)

Wanna know what I have coming to me? The Scalloped Circle Tags on Kraft and J'Adore Parisian Tags. Can't wait!!

blank notecard sets

Happy Friday! I'm sharing with you today some of the blank, all-purpose note card sets that can be found for sale locally at La Bella Mela boutique.

I used either rub-ons or my Cricut to create the designs on the cards. It's a fairly quick and easy card set to make and would be a great stocking stuffer for the holidays! I know... can you believe we're talking stocking stuffers?

I hope everyone has plans for a great weekend. I am heading to a crop tonight, and I'll be taking one friend with me and meeting some Facebook friends in-person for the first time. So excited! I have plans to make 3 pages. Let's see if I can do that in 4 hours. :)

What does everyone else have planned? Have a great weekend!

more love for the digi page

It's another Sketchy Thursdays reveal day. I recently downloaded some new papers from Sassy Designs and have been wanting to use them. Great colors and varieties in digi papers over there—check it out!

For this page I used the Falling Digital Paper Pack. I also used some items purchased from Two Peas in a Bucket.

I hope to see you playing along with Sketchy Thursdays this week. We have a WONDERFUL prize from Flamingo Scraps.

And a HUGE thank you to Susan and Suzanne for coming through in a pinch for me as a sponsor. Those ladies are the best!!! Check out the sketch and the amazing American Crafts prize they have for you all.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Cute baby card day

For today's blog post I'm sharing the new baby card I made for my dear friend, Amy.

(Supplies: Cosmo Cricket paper, Bazzill cardstock, PaperTrey Ink dies, The Paper Studio 3-D Stickers, American Crafts and Making Memories rub-ons, Maya Road trinket heart pin, white twill ribbon)

Below is a picture of Amy and her adorable little man, Luke. I was so excited to go meet him yesterday!

And here is a picture of me and Luke. It's a good thing there were three of my co-workers with me on this visit, or I may have been tempted to kidnap him for my own. He is such a sweet baby!

OK, enough about babies... How's everyone's Wednesday going? Anything going on today? My partner in crime at work, Enid, is on vacation for the rest of the week so my office is quiet. Post some conversation for me in the comment section so I don't feel so lonely today!!

My busy Tuesdays continue

I'm definitely loving October! For today's Tuesday posts at Flamingo Scraps and Scrapbook Circle, I'm sharing tips for embellishments and also a gift set made with Pink Paislee.

You can check out the gift set at Scrapbook Circle. Here's just a peek at the goodness over there:

And at the Flamingo Scraps blog you can see my tips for covering chipboard and making layered embellishments. Again, a peek at those:

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you take a second to swing by those posts. :)

9 weeks to go and a sketchy peek

There are only nine weeks until Christmas! Fewer if you are mailing your cards and gifts. YIKES!

I've been working on holiday items for the gift shop that sells my handmade cards and gifts, so here are some pics of an ornament and tag set I have available for sale at La Bella Mela.

And here is a cutie card I made for the Inspired to Scrap Weekend Warrior Card Class a few weeks ago. The reindeer image is downloaded from Squigglefly.

And speaking of Inspired to Scrap, below is a sneak peek at a page revealed over the weekend for the Sketches Class. There are exclusive Sketchy Thursdays sketches there are well as 3 other sketch artists making some amazing sketches. I have the print out of all of them and WOW! If you need sketches this is the place to be.

We continue through until the end of the month, so there is still time to join us. Click here for details about the class. We've revealed sketch #4 today, plenty of time to still jump in!

Hopefully I didn't panic anyone about the pending holiday season, but rather inspired you to make some simple and fun handmade items. If you are making something for the holidays, I'd love to hear about it. Leave a note in the comments section!

tinie super hero

Hi all! I'm playing along with Some Odd Girl and their challenge to use fabric.

And I am still practicing my Copics coloring. Just when I think I'm doing great, I realize after I've uploaded the picture what else I could have done. More shading here, a little more color there... oh well, I am still having fun.

Here is my Super Tobie card and I put the fabric in the cape. I popped it up with Pop Dots, too, so it gives it some motion. Like the cape is flapping in a super hero-like movement.

Thanks for stopping in today. :)

an old tractor, spooky and something sketchy

Hi there! It's Thursday... one of my most favorite days. And here is my Sketchy Thursdays page for the week.

I used some more of my Scrapbook Circle Spooky Town kit.

I'm on a bit of kick making 8.5" x 11" pages. Mostly because I filled up my most recent 12" x 12" page protectors and only have the 8.5" x 11" ones left in my current album, but also because I like to mix it up once in awhile. It gets boring to me to always use the same page size.

Do you mix and match pages if you use the D-ring binders? I love the overall finished look when the albums are mixed up like that.

I hope you can join us this week. Head over to Sketchy Thursdays to see my latest sketch. The winner this week will get the October kit from Lucky Girl Crafts—and it's a good one!!! :)

Thanks for reading my blog today!

Halloween and Spooky Town

Hi all! Today I am sharing a card I made with the Scrapbook Circle Spooky Town extra October kit. I absolutely love this kit (and it looks like it's already sold out). I can't seem to put it away—it is perched on the side of my desk and I keep going to it project after project.

I made this card using a sketch from Inspired to Scrap. The Weekend Warrior Card Class went great last week, and the Sketches Class that starts this coming Friday promises to be just as awesome. Trust me—I have all of the sketches already and they are awesome! I think I'll be going to them over and over long after the class is done.

Join us! I'd love to see you over at the class. The details can be found HERE.

Have a great Wednesday everyone! And thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday. I had a wonderful day from the start to the end of the day, and all of the messages from Facebook and my blog were just icing on the cake. :)

Another big Tuesday for me!

Hello! It's a jam-packed Tuesday for me—in bloggyland and in life.

Today is... (gulp) my birthday, as well as that I'm going with my son's Pre-K class for their Fall field trip this morning, working from home after the field trip (and we're on deadline), running to La Bella Mela with my holiday goodies after work, swinging by to get Nate at the end of Pre-K, then meeting up with the in-laws for a little birthday dinner and ice cream.

Whew! I'm tired just typing all of this!

And bloggyland is just as busy. I am blogging over at Scrapbook Circle today with this layout from the October Kit. We've all been so excited about the Pink Paislee in the kit that poor little October Afternoon Schoolhouse seems to be playing second fiddle.

Not today! Here's my page using that line. I just love the colors and patterns.

Scoot on over to the Scrapbook Circle blog if you want to read the quick story about the 9-9-1 in the title! :)

It is also my second blog post day for Flamingo Scraps as they celebrate their second anniversary with so many great prizes and specials. I hope you've been reading over there... you don't want to miss this month!! Plenty of prizes, great ideas and discounts at the store.

Today over there, I shared my altered Prima jar and felt/chipboard button flowers. I would love it if you stopped over there to see the rest of my project. CLICK HERE! And thanks so much!!

Thanks for reading all of this—I've been excited to share these with you!

a skully scary birthday

Happy Friday, all! Believe it or not, this very scary, skully card is for a 50th birthday. My dear friend is celebrating her main man's 50th with a wonderful treasure chest and pirate-themed birthday. I was so happy to be helping her with the card.

Thank goodness his birthday is in the fall. This project could have been so much more difficult to put together in the spring!

I made this card using the Sketchy Thursdays 10.7 sketch and my Spooky Town kit from Scrapbook Circle. Plus a few goodies from Michael's for the skull and pirate hat.

And of course, another cloud. Sheesh!! I am seriously going to need to get over this trend or I'm going to become known as That Cloud Girl. :)

Thanks so stopping by today, and have a wonderful weekend!

I hope to see some of you over at the Inspired To Scrap Weekend Warrior Card Class!! It started today!! :)

10.7 Sketchy Thursdays and my little old man

The latest Sketchy Thursdays sketch by the amazing Heidi is live and ready for you to play along with us.

It has been raining, chilly and down-right depressing around here for the past 4 days. Needless to say, not a chance for any sunshine or a chance to take a photo in the daylight. Hence... the digi layout.

I purchased this kit from TwoPeas. It is the That Was Yesterday page kit from Michelle Underwood. Seriously a great digital kit if you're in the market for one.

The "yesterday" theme for the pictures of my son pretending to be an old man went so well together. I'm quite happy with how this turned out!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll join us this week at Sketchy Thursdays. We have a great prize up for grabs from Angie Delarie and her shop. And the new DT is showcasing their first pages.

Head on over and leave them some love. Help them feel welcomed!!! :)

Halloween cards are the most fun!

Scrapbook Circle is offering a second kit this month—the Spooky Town Halloween kit. Of course I had to have it! First, I played around with the papers and stickers from The Girls' Paperie. I just love their products.

And I'm still loving the Paper Trey Ink dies and stamps I ordered last month. I used my Copics to color in the Friendship Jar stamp and die. I love the effects I get with the Copics. Worth every single penny I saved up for them!

Thanks for visting!! :) I would love to hear if you have been working on Halloween stuff. Link it up, too, if you can. I'd love to visit your blog and see what you made.

Speaking of cards....

The Weekend Warrior Card Inspiration Class at Inspired To Scrap is this weekend!! You do not have to be available to take the class. You will get a PDF afterward with all of the lessons, tutorials and samples. But if you are available, you'll have access to a private forum on the board where we will post classes and share ideas, member creations and chat.

It is only $5 and we will provide you with card sketches, cutting sizes, tips and tutorials, and of course lots of inspiration to get cards completed.

There will be instructions for any type of card—birthday, thank you, holiday, even Halloween. I hope to see you in class. Go to the store page to purchase it: http://www.inspiredtoscrap.net/store

Hope to see you there!

a Tuesday full of wonder

Hello! Today is a super busy Tuesday for my little blog. Tuesdays in October are my days to post over on the Flamingo Scraps blog, so today I'm sharing ideas for using the Maya Road - Mini Chipboard Set - LAUNDRY DAY chipboard pieces.

I made a tag and a card, and I would love it if you could check out the post over there today. Big thanks in advance!!! :)

(I even share a cool tip/trick on using the clothespins on cards.)

I am also blogging on Scrapbook Circle's site, as I do every Tuesday. I share with you how to alter the Artisan Borders from Pink Paislee that are in the October kit.

To me, these little borders were completely different than how I imagined they would be based on what I had seen online. They take color very easily, are more rubbery (is that a word?) than I imagined, and are re-positionable so you can move them around the page (or card) until you're happy with it. Very, very nice product to work with!!

So that's my Tuesday. I hope you like what I have for you today! :) Have a good one!

PS: Did you see? More clouds!!! They are on every single thing I posted today! What is up with that!? LOL! I can't seem to get away from using them. ;)
