Happy Halloween! {lily bee}

Today on the Lily Bee blog I'm sharing a little Halloween spirit! What's more spooky than a haunted house and a coffin. Especially a coffin covered in spider webs and a skull?

I used Lily Bee papers and the Silhouette Cameo to create these fun projects to mark this week's festive occasion. Our week has been filled with fun Halloween festivities, as I hope yours has, too!

Thanks for stopping to see my Halloween projects! Stop by the Lily Bee blog to see what else we've got going on to inspire you.

Fall issue projects {paperhaus magazine}

With the winter issue of PaperHaus Magazine on my mind, I wanted to stop by and share what I had made for the fall issue. If you haven't read it yet, click here to check out the amazing work from a variety of scrapbooking and mixed media artists.

In this issue, I have a home decor project for your Thanksgiving table and a card that goes with the sketch I made for the issue.

For the home decor project, I used the Silhouette Cameo to make a turkey center piece, place settings and napkin rings. A little burlap thrown in for good measure rounds out the theme.

For more info on my process and the supplies I used, check out page 53 in the issue.

Here's the card that I made using some of my favorite Crate Paper. You can't go wrong with balloons and clouds!

Thanks for stopping to see my PaperHaus Magazine fall issue projects. We are turning in our Winter issue work now — it's going to be another great issue! Follow the PaperHaus blog to watch for the announcement of the next release.

Trendy arrows {bella blvd}

Today on the Bella Blvd blog we are talking about arrows. This is definitely one of my favorite trends. I love how fun and simple it is to add movement or direction to a card or layout. Your eye can't help but be pulled in by where the arrows are telling you to look.

On this first card, I am sharing how the arrows act as extra border strip at the bottom of the card, and then also as decoration on the feathers of the turkey. Of course, his cute little feet are made from arrow stamps, too.

In this second card, I wanted to use the arrows as the main image. Using the Cameo, I cut an arrows pattern I made out of white card stock and then popped that up on top of an alternating blue and yellow background.

The thank you bubbles show the sentiment on this simple, but eye-catching card. It's almost like the thank you sentiment gets louder as you get to the top of the card with the larger bubble and larger arrows.

Thank you for stopping by to see my cards today. Make sure to stop by the Bella Blvd blog for more great examples of using arrows on your projects.

Halloween {imaginisce}

Today on the Imaginisce blog we are kicking off a week of Halloween goodness.

It's almost time for Halloween! I love this holiday. My son is really into costumes and is such a good sport about posing for pictures. So, each Halloween season, we put his costume on a bit early and make sure we get some good pictures of his costume in action.

This year he is Storm Shadow from G.I. Joe. Also known as a really cool ninja costume.

I used the new Imaginisce Bushel o'Fall collection on this page, as well as some of last year's Imaginisce Monster Mash line. I love how the purple and black mixed with the fall colors.

Stop by the Imaginisce blog to see what the rest of the team makes this week.

Thanks for stopping to see my page today. I hope everyone's off to a great start to their week!

Card sketch {bella blvd}

Today on Bella Blvd blog the card makers are sharing cards using a sketch for inspiration. You can see the sketch below at the bottom of this post, or head on over to the Bella Blvd blog and see the sketch as well as the rest of the inspiration from the team.

I made my card using the Thankful collection from Bella Blvd. I love the bright autumn colors and that pop of blue is the best mixed with the red and yellow.

Supplies: Thankful Collection (Cute Cuts and Perfect Day pattern papers, Alpha & Bits Stickers)
Buttons: Masculine Mix

Have a great Friday everyone! I am heading off to a retreat today and I could not be more excited. I will be attending the Crop Til You Drop Retreat in northern N.Y. along with my friends Sara Zenger, Audrey Yeager, Heather Leopard, Renee Bates, Sheila Burns and many more crafty ladies! I'll be teaching a class on using stamps with your layouts and cards and have to admit I am a bit nervous about that. Wish me luck!

Follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook this weekend for fun posts from the retreat. I'm sure we are going to get a bit silly at times.

Krafty Kringle kit {update}

I am so excited to have a custom December Days kit for sale in the Whimsical Twist shop. Unlike the day-in-the-life kits, the Krafty Kringle Kit is meant to mark the events and celebrations from Thanksgiving to New Years. Pockets and tabs throughout the kit help you to document and save lists, receipts, ticket stubs — you name it! Gorgeous holiday papers from Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp keep it festive as embellishments from Webster's Pages, Elle's Studio, and My Mind's Eye jazz up your journaling. Tuck things away in festive treat bags and fun pockets in the Farmhouse Paper Co. Craft Album.

Here are some pictures of that to expect in the kit. Below you can see the Farmhouse Paper Co. Craft Album, Elle's Studio products, treat bags, Webster's Pages white overlay and some of the Pink Paislee Snow Village papers.

You can see how the pockets and dividers will work for organizing the kit into events and moments that happen during your holiday season.
Krafty Kringle December Days Kit includes the following contents:

Bushel o'Fall {imaginisce}

It's time to celebrate fall! We've had an unusually warm fall season here in NY. As you can see in the photo, my son is wearing shorts for pumpkin picking — that never happens! With such a late start to our fall festivities, the Bushel o'Fall collection from Imaginisce really helps to make it feel like fall.

Stop on by the Imaginisce blog this week for inspiration using the new Bushel o'Fall collection.

I love the bright orange and yellow mixed in with the vibrant red and rich browns in this collection. The pops of green make it feel earthy and bright at the same time.

After I made my layout, I was inspired to make a card, too. The little pie die cut was too cute to pass up. This card would make a great hostess gift and thank you for a fall get together.

Thank you for stopping to see what I made using the new Bushel o'Fall collection. This collection is already available at stores like Two Peas in a Bucket, so hurry on over and grab some for your fall pages!

Tic Tac Toe {whimsical twist}

Hello and happy Monday! Today at Whimsical Twist we are sharing a new challenge to keep you motivated and scrappy. This challenge is to use the Tic Tac Toe board we provided and use elements that line up 3 in a row on one project.

Since I like a lot of embellishments on a page, I used 2 different lines of 3 on my page. I used washi/enamel dots/thickers as well as the washi/vellum/spray mist line. You can see the board at the end of this post or on the Whimsical Twist blog.

I also used the Glitz Design Dapper Dan collection on this baseball layout. I love the manly rugged feel to that collection for my son's pages. You can scoop up some Dapper Dan in the Whimsical Twist shop.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us before the end of the month! Challenges like this are always great to get you started creating. Thanks for stopping by here today.

October sketch challenge {scrapbook circle}

It's time for another sketch challenge at Scrapbook Circle. You can see the sketch below at the end of this post, or check out the Scrapbook Circle blog for details on how to play along.

I used the latest kit, So Happy Together, from Scrapbook Circle to make my page.

I had a lot of fun making this page. Not only was I hanging with some great scrappy friends at a crop when I made it, but I also had some fun making the background cut on my Cameo. The papers from Glitz Wild & Free are so bright and fun — it made it so easy to create an eye-catching page.

This is the sketch you can play along with. To be eligible to win a prize pack from Pink Paislee (did you see the awesome Color Wash canvas pieces in the So Happy Together kit?), check out the details on the Scrapbook Circle blog.

Thanks for stopping by here today to see my layout and the latest sketch!

Imaginisce and Kiwi Lane

Imaginisce paired up with Kiwi Lane for some product swapping this month. Yesterday was my day on the Imaginisce blog, and here is what I shared using Imaginisce and Kiwi Lane.

I had the Mini Aspen Court borders and used them on this layout to replicate waves. I used the Imaginisce Outdoor Adventure collection for my papers and embellishments.

To learn more about Kiwi Lane check out their Facebook page and their blog. If you aren't familiar with Imaginisce, you can find them here.

Thanks for stopping to see my layout today!

World Card Making Day {bella blvd & pink paislee}

It is World Card Making Day! This could be a national holiday for someone like me. I would love to be able to sit at home today with an excuse to lock myself in my craft room and make card after card after card.

In lieu of locking myself in my room, I have been busy working in advance on cards that will inspire you to create today and this weekend in honor of the WCMD.

This first card I made is for Pink Paislee and it is from the City Sidewalks collection. I love this holiday collection. It has all of the classic patterns, colors and themes of a good 'ol fashioned Christmas.

Supplies: City Sidewalks (8x8 Paper Pack, Ephemera pack) Artisan: (8x8 Paper Pack, Artisan Squares)

**************

The next two cards are for Bella Blvd. I love wedding cards, and the Love and Marriage collection as well as the Engaged at Last collection are perfect!

This first card is pretty traditional with the bride and groom and uses neutral tone with the gray, black and teal. I cut the cute couple using my Cameo, in case you were wondering where that piece came from.

The second card is a little more fun and uses a less traditional theme. The little flag is just too cute poking out of the top of the borders and stickers.

Thanks for stopping to see my WCMD cards. So… who is going to make cards today? Link up your blog in my comments section and I'll stop by and see what you made.
