Now for this month's theme: Thankful

For this month's theme I made a thank you card with a spin on Thanksgiving. I used the "give thanks" part of the Give Thanks Napkin Rings file from Samantha Walker.

Finishing off the card with gold washi tape and enamel dots, this card sparkles! I love the way the burgundy color pops against the gold.

Now for this month's theme: Halloween

I used this month's free file and made a Halloween decoration. It is an old liquor bottle filled with purple water (I used food coloring) and a glow stick.

The spiders are glued on using Jumbo Zots and the "spooky" and spider web are cut from vinyl on the Cameo.

I added some enamel stars (from Jillibean Soup) for some added color and layering.

Now for this month's theme: Fall

For this month's theme, I made a fall wreath for my front door. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the pumpkin is cut from gold glittered card stock. It looks a little silver in the picture, but it is really a rich buttery gold color. It really pops against the raw texture of the burlap twine on the wreath base.

I also added a die-cut dotted line down the center of the larger leaves cut from yellow card stock and glittered paper in a rusty brown color. It added great dimension to the leaves.

Chores Spinner {samantha walker}

Head on over to the Samantha Walker blog today to see how I made this Chores Spinner for my son.

With the school year starting back up this week, I wanted to make sure that I made it easy for the boy to keep up with his chores during the school days.

Asking him to spin the wheel is so much more fun than telling him to pick one thing to take care of for the day.

Thanks for stopping by here today!

Back to school time is always fun. We shop for new jeans, crayons, pencils, glue sticks — the best parts of a little kid's life.

For today's hop, I made this back to school card for my son. I'll put it in his lunch box on the first day for a little surprise.

For this month's hop project, I made two cards using Samantha Walker's Summer Lovin' collection from Carta Bella. I love the summer patterns and colors, and I couldn't resist playing around with the 2x3 cards and stickers to make these.

Cards like these would be great for inviting a few family members and friends over for a BBQ or pool party. They would also make great thank you cards after spending a fun summer day at a friend's house.

Animal party mask {samantha walker}

Today on the Samantha Walker blog, I'm sharing a tutorial on how to make this animal mask for a child's party favor.

We all have those animal cut files, here's how to alter them into masks without having to buy a separate mask file.

I hope you'll stop over and view the tutorial — you'll be surprised how easy it can be to alter files using your Silhouette software.

Supplies: Samantha Walker (Ice Skating Raccoon), American Crafts (card stock), Tombow (dots runner), Twinery (Stone).
