Cut Shoppe Hop | Scrapbook Circle

Scrapbook Circle is hopping along with Cut Shoppe this week! We will be sharing great ways to use the Cut Shoppe unique and fun files along with your Scrapbook Circle kits.

You should have come to me from Jamie's blog. If you aren't hopping along yet, you can start at the beginning on the Scrapbook Circle blog

For my page, I used the Say What cut file from Cut Shoppe and the June Kit: Have a Little Fun Today.

I used a black Silhouette sketch pen and my Cameo along with the cut file to create a doodle-like background page. I liked how the black and white doodles make the photo and papers really stand out in the center of the layout.

Your next stop on the hop is Tessa. Make sure to stop at all of the blogs on the hop for chances at prizes and of course for the inspiration.

Then Cut Shoppe is also offering a 30% off special for those of you hopping along. Swing by the shop and pick up a few files for yourself.

Thanks for hopping along this week!

Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop {august}

Welcome to the Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop! Scrapbook Circle has a new creative team, as well as a fabulous August kit, and we'd like to introduce you to both.

You could win one of five August kits by commenting as you hop from blog to blog, meeting faces new and old to Scrapbook Circle. If you just left Jennifer's blog, you are in the right place. If not, I hope you'll join us for the entire hop by starting at the Scrapbook Circle blog, here.

Here's the page I made for the hop using the August kit and an add-on kit. I focused on all of the wonderful extras and embellishments that come with Scrapbook Circle kits.

I just love the Crate Paper frames and the custom Scrapbook Circle stamp. I also used the wooden sequins from Chic Tags that are available in one of the August add ons.

Leave a comment to be eligible to win a kit! This hop event ends on Monday, August 4th at 9:00 p.m. (PT).

You are now hopping over to Mona's blog to see what she made and leave a comment on her blog as well as here on mine for extra chances to win.

Thanks for stopping by here today. Happy hopping!

For this month's hop project, I made two cards using Samantha Walker's Summer Lovin' collection from Carta Bella. I love the summer patterns and colors, and I couldn't resist playing around with the 2x3 cards and stickers to make these.

Cards like these would be great for inviting a few family members and friends over for a BBQ or pool party. They would also make great thank you cards after spending a fun summer day at a friend's house.

Now for this month's theme: Birthday

This theme is perfectly timed for me. My son just turned 8 in the end of May, so I have brand new pictures I wanted to use for this layout.

I was able to use a few different collections and files from Samantha Walker to make this layout. The balloons are actually eggs from one of her Easter files re-purposed into balloons!

I loved the hashtag I was using on Instagram and Facebook for photos from Nate's birthday celebrations, so I made sure to use that as the title of the page.

Supplies: Samantha Walker Digital File (basket woven easter), Carta Bella Summer Lovin, Carta Bella Rough and Tumble

Now for this month's theme: Graduation

For my project this month, I made a card for the graduate. I always think of owls in association with graduation. So very wise, right? Also stars — like a "superstar!" I'm a bit corny, I think.

I cut the owl on my Cameo, the word bubble from a die and the stamps are from JustRite.

Supplies: Samantha Walker Silhouette Studio Files (Animal Owl 4), For All You Do Vintage Labels clear stamps, Patterns Basics clear stamps.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day! {fancy pants}

Happy National Scrapbooking Day! It's the first Saturday in May, and today all over the country there are crops and events to mark this day for scrapbookers.

Fancy Pants wants to share this day with you! The design team has gotten together a mini hop for you to inspire you for the day.

I made the first of many Easter celebration layouts. The bright colors form the Nautical collection as well as the chalkboard background from Be Different were perfect for the Easter egg coloring pictures I have.

If you are hopping along with us, here is the hop order:

Make sure to start and end with the Fancy Pants blog. I little birdie told us there might be some prizes for the hoppers. Doesn't this prize look yummy?

Thanks for stopping here today — and Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Now for this month's theme: Spring!

All of the designers for this hop are using the April Free File that you see above as your gift for hopping along with us. I made a card and also a small Easter treat box using pieces of the free file as well as some of Samantha's other products.

The card was pretty easy. I stamped the background, them smudged in the edges with a dauber to get a softer look on the outside of the stamping. Then, having cut the April Free File with both yellow and blue card stock papers, I layered them in the center of the card and finished it off with an enamel dot.

To make the box, I ungrouped the pieces of the file, deleted the original heart pattern that was on the top of the box, and replaced it with a flower from the April Free File. By cutting it from yellow paper and replacing the heart with a flower, I take a typical Valentine's Day file and give it a springy upgrade!

Supplies: Samantha Walker Silhouette Studio Files (Free April File from Samantha Walker and heart lace clam shell box). Samantha Walker Just Rite (Sweet Lace Background Stamp).

Now for this month's theme: Lucky

To make this card, I used the Lucky Day file from Samantha Walker and then (after cutting it on the Silhouette) isolated the word "Lucky." I also used only the grass in the Bunny Easter Banner file.

By using only pieces of those files, I made a cute little scene for my card. A shining sun from a circle punch and some clouds finish off the card.

Supplies: Samantha Walker Silhouette Studio Files (Lucky Day and Bunny Easter Banner), Pattern paper (Echo Park Keepin' Cozy by Samantha Walker: Birds of a Feather)

Holiday Hop for Scrapbook Circle!

The creative team at Scrapbook Circle is ending the year with a bang! We are hopping along and you can win an All Is Bright December kit from Scrapbook Circle. Each Creative Team member is giving away a kit on their blog. That's right — 12 chances to win! We are celebrating the holiday season and YOU get the gifts!

You should have come to my blog from the Scrapbook Circle blog. That was the first place to start, so make sure you stop back by there to see the full hop list and get some more details.

Here are some detail shots of the layout I made. (I added the snow using embossing paste, so the background paper does not come like that. But it's the perfect touch, right?!)

I absolutely love the All Is Bright Kit. There is also an awesome Holly Jolly add-on kit, too. There are so many great extras that are perfect for the season.

Your next stop on the hop is Heather! Keep hopping, leaving comments as you go, so you have up to 13 chances to win the December kit from Scrapbook Circle.

Good Luck! We'll announce the winners on the Scrapbook Circle blog this Thurs. You have until Wed night to leave a comment.
