Let's Go on an Adventure {scrapbook circle}

The Let's Go on an Adventure August kit from Scrapbook Circle is amazing! I just love the colors, patterns and whimsy in this kit.

Here's a little card I whipped up with some of what I had laying around on my desk after I made two layouts. (I'll be able to share those with you a bit later on.)

Stop on by Scrapbook Circle's site to grab one for yourself. I just know you'll love it!

CHA - Summer 2013 {imaginisce}

Imaginisce is revealing some amazing new tools, chipboard, milk paint and the fall and winter collections at this week's Summer CHA 2013.

I did some work with the Bushel of Fall collection and wanted to share it here so you can see what's coming up.

The Christmas line is amazing! I love the colors in this collection and the fun owls with scarves. Seriously, how cute is that?! The chevron paper and the ornaments are my favorites.

Keep an eye on the Imaginisce blog in case they share anything else. Check it out now to see what they have already revealed (the milk paint looks really interesting!).

Legos at the library {lily bee}

Today on the Lily Bee blog we are revisiting the sketch for July. Have you used it yet? Give it a go and see the sketch on the Lily Bee blog today. Here is the layout I made to inspire you!

This week we are also sharing splashes of color. I used yellow for my splash on this black and grey layout — I love how it turned out!

Other than the card stock on this layout, all of this fabulous grey, black and yellow came from the Sweet Shoppe and Pinwheel collections from Lily Bee. How fun are those word bubbles?! They are cut from a piece of Pinwheel patterned paper called Flip Flops.

Thanks for stopping to see my layout today. I really had fun making this layout and I hope it has inspired you to revisit the sketch with us and maybe even try a splash of color on your pages.

PaperHaus Magazine {summer}

This weekend I was working on my Fall submissions for PaperHaus Magazine, and I realized I never shared my Summer issue work with you. I hope you had a chance to visit the Summer issue, if not, you can view it HERE.

This is the layout I made for the travel theme and I used Lily Bee Destination collection for my layout. It works great for the topic and for a rugged boys page. These pictures are from last summer when Nate and his friend Cole went to a baseball game.

I also make the card sketch for many of the issues of PaperHaus Magazine. This is the card I made for the Summer issue sketch. If you didn't get to see the sketch yet, you can view it HERE at page 104.

The PaperHaus Magazine Fall issue call ends August 1st. If you get a chance, stop by to see if you can submit anything for publication. It promises to be another wonderful issue — give it a go and submit!

Thanks for stopping today to see my projects!

Summertime {imaginisce}

For the month of July, the DT for Imaginisce each took one day in the month to share a summertime project that used at least one Imaginisce tool and shared a summery feel. I made a pool and sky scene for my layout.

I gathered some papers that had blue, yellow and orange tones and cut them into 2"-3" strips. I also had 4 photos, my i-rock, tweezers and glam rocks.

My step-by-step process is shared on the Imaginisce blog today, so stop by there if you were interested in learning more about my process.

I have to say that the i-rock makes it so easy to add bling to your pages. With sequins being such a big trend right now, glam rocks and hot rocks can help you achieve the same look without needing to figure out how to adhere them to your projects.

Here are some close-up pics of my page. I love the little fishy from the Outdoor Adventure collection. I wish I had a whole sheet of just the fishy sticker — too cute!

Thanks for stopping to see my summertime Imaginisce layout for this month. I had fun making it!

Color Wash collection reveal {pink paislee}

Oh  my goodness! The Color Wash collection from Pink Paislee is amazing! Debuting at Summer Cha this month, it will not disappoint. I was incredibly lucky to get a chance to preview the collection and create a few samples for the Pink Paislee booth and website reveal.

Here are a few sneak peeks. You can see the pages and projects in their entirety on the Pink Paislee blog today.

I have to say that the watercolor tags were my favorite. I loved playing around with the watercolors I had with the tags and getting such fun results. The papers in this collection are stunning — they are just pretty to look at.

Thanks for stopping to see some of the reveal for Pink Paislee's Color Wash. Head over to their blog for a chance to win it before you can buy it and see the full reveal of my projects as well as some of the other DT.

Me & Summer {scrapbook circle}

Yesterday I shared a new sketch challenge on the Scrapbook Circle blog. Stop on over there to see the rest of the reveal and the prize for this month's lucky participant. You can also see the sketch at the bottom of this post.

The July kit, Let's Chat, is so fun! I really love the colors and patterns in this one, especially for my son's pages.

I just love this one picture of my son. Can you tell he was excited for it to be the last day of school? I just love the unapologetic enthusiasm he has for the end of school and start for summertime.

This kraft photo frame was part of the larger Jillibean Soup 12x12 polaroid frames sheet in the Let's Chat kit. I had to cut it apart and make the best use of that piece of paper.

This is the sketch for July. Check out the Scrapbook Circle blog for details on how to be eligible to win this month's prize and where to link up your version of the sketch.

Thanks for stopping to see my layout today!

Fun in the sun {lily bee}

It's a Project Life day on the Lily Bee blog, and I'm sharing my fun in the sun work for the week with a Project Life spread.

If you follow my blog regularly, you know that my son's project life book was the 6x8 book from Simple Stories and detailed his first grade year. Now that it is summer, I moved to the 12x12 sheets for some summertime project life layouts.

I used a mix of Pinwheel and Destination Lily Bee collections for my pages. The 4th of July graphic is cut from my Cameo and you can download my design file for FREE here at this link. Help yourself and enjoy!

This is the second page and I just love how well the colors from both collections mixed on this page.

The Chit Chat sticker sheets and Circles & Tags sheets worked perfectly to add little phrases.

Our Cady girl enjoys fun in the sun just as much as us, so I just had to snap some pictures of her watching all of the pool excitement.

I have to admit that I am starting to like the larger 12x12 PL pages, but they do take much longer to put together than I anticipated they would. I can see where if you kept this up for a full year it would be a struggle to stay current.

Thanks for stopping to see my PL page today.
