Happy Halloween!

Nate and I carved a few pumpkins, but I had to make myself a fancy one. I used some leftover Hocus Pocus stickers from Pink Paislee.

Happy Halloween! I hope you have something fun to do today.

Sketchy Thursdays {wonderful}

Love this boy! Or little man, as he looks in this picture. I can't get over how grown up he looks in this picture. And, of course, we love his NY Yankees winter cap. Such a fun hat, isn't it? I love this style.

This page is made using this week's sketch I made for Sketchy Thursdays. It's a quick one, so if you are busy with Halloween festivities, you should still be able to get something down quickly to still play along.

There is a fabulous prize from The Paper Bakery that I know you'll want a chance at winning.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I made for this week. And I hope to see you playing along with us at Sketchy Thursdays!

New holiday tags {etsy}

I'm getting a head start on my holiday tags this year. Here are two more styles of tags that I will be making for the Etsy shop, as well as taking custom orders for these tags.

I have had some questions about turning my tags into card designs. These tags are two styles that are available for custom holiday cards.

Thanks so much for stopping to see my blog today. Who else is in the holiday spirit?! It is Oct. 25th, by the way—two months to go! Who is panicking? :)

Pumpkin love

I am so happy to have some quiet time to myself right now to create. I'm finally getting to dig into my Hallow's Eve kit from Scrapbook Circle. There are some great patterns in this kit. I also noticed that the paper quality is really good. Nice heavy-duty papers in this kit. Check it out here if you are interested in a Halloween-themed kit.

I am also playing along with one of my favorite challenge sites, The Paper Variety. There is a recipe challenge there now. They are looking for paper projects that use one pumpkin, two-word titles and three buttons. My page added in one extra button, but all the rest are good. The title is "October Fun" and there is only one pumpkin in my little man's hands. :)

I'm having a fabulous Monday and hope you are all, too. Thanks for stopping to visit!

Scrapbook Circle {Nov. kit peeks}

I honestly can't stop creating with the October kit from Scrapbook Circle, but the November one is right around the corner. These kits just get better and better, don't they?!

Such fabulous fall colors and patterns, right?! Amazing! Hope you have a chance to scoop one up for yourself!

Sketchy Thursdays {the bus}

It's Thursday! Here is my latest layout for the sketch Heidi made for Sketchy Thursdays. I used items from both the Sept. and Oct. kits from Scrapbook Circle to make my page.

And if you take a peek at Heidi's sketch, you'll notice that my layout is not tilted. I couldn't do it! Not sure why, but I tried and tried, and I could not make a page where you tilt the photos. Now I feel dared to do it. I must. I feel challenged. LOL!

This week Sketchy Thursdays is sponsored by Let's Capture Our Memories. Check out the site as well as what they have at Sketchy Thursdays!

Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate it—enjoy the rest of your week!

Use your Cricut for a quick, updated look

If you're like me, you love your die cutters. I am most in love with my Big Shot. Of course, I can't live without the Cricut. And now I have the Slice Fabrique to play around with (got it for my birthday!)

I've been wanting to update the pictures in my master bathroom for months now, and I finally pulled the trigger on it last week after I was inspired by the red and aqua. I've been drawn to this color combination over and over again.

I'm so pleased with how these turned out, and it was such a quick project. I always change out these frames more than any other in the house, so I'm sure I'll be at it again sometime around the holidays.

Thanks for stopping by to see my new die cut wall art. Have a great Wednesday!

Welcome baby card

Just a quick baby card to share with you. I used the current sketch #41 at Cardabilities. I really need to start playing along with challenges again. It's so easy to get bogged down with other things, isn't it?!

Leave me a challenge site you love to play along with in the comments section. I'd love to find some new inspiration.

Thanks for stopping to see my card! Have a fabulous week.

Sketchy Thursdays {and easy canvas prints}

As many of you who read my blog know, I love to mix in a digital layout every once in a while. Heidi's latest sketch at Sketchy Thursdays was begging for a digital layout because of the large area for journaling off to the side. I have horrible handwriting, so I just knew it was going to have to be digital.

My little man had decided one day to do his own hair. It resulted in a lot of water on the bathroom floor and a pretty cool spike. I loved it, actually. I wish his hair was long like this again. It's shorter now with school pictures coming up soon.

This week's challenge at Sketchy Thursdays is sponsored by Easy Canvas Prints.

I was approached by Easy Canvas Prints to receive a free canvas to review. And am I glad I said yes! I ordered the 11"x14" canvas and it is gorgeous. Amazing craftsmanship, arrived perfectly packaged and is exactly what I ordered.

The order process is so easy. It is seriously just upload, a few check boxes here and there, then done! Easy peasy! I ordered the print with the grey solid-colored sides. You can select a color or a wrap around photo or even a reflection.

Now to the cool part! One lucky winner at Sketchy Thursdays is going to be getting their own 8"x10" Easy Canvas Prints gift. Play long and link your entry to the Sketchy Thursdays blog before Wed. night and you are eligible to win. Good Luck!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I truly appreciate you all!!

Crafting {on Pinterest}

If you're on Pinterest (and if you are anything like me), you have been pinning the crafty hints, tips, tricks and downloads. But, are you doing anything with them?

I couldn't pass up this free subway art download from Beth's blog. I had to spruce it up and make the final project my own, though.

I made these felt circles with hand-beaded centers and adhered a couple to the edge of the frame. And what's an autumn picture without a spider, 'eh?!

If you like these embellishments, there are some available for sale at my Etsy shop.

***Pssssttt: Today is my birthday, so I'm feeling a bit like celebrating. If you buy anything from my Etsy shop before the end of the week on 10/14, you can get 15% off your total purchase. And I'll throw in an extra surprise for you. Use coupon code BDAY2011***

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are inspired to do something with those pins!!

"Ah ha" moment!

I had one of those "ah ha" moments, and the first thing I thought was that I had to tell you all! If you order Tag-Its #8 stamp set from Papertrey Ink ...

...  Then make sure to also buy the 28mm Large Punch for the i-top.

Why, you ask? Because if you look closely at the finished image at the top of this post, the snowflake matches exactly to the i-top punch! Oh my goodness!!!! I was so excited and started punching and stamping a bunch of snowflakes.

If you like the tags that are in this post, they are for sale in my Etsy shop, along with many other goodies, too, of course. I would love for you to check out what I've been up to lately!

Thanks for stopping by to read my blog. As you can tell, I was quite excited about this little coincidence.

Sketchy Thursdays {wish}

Today is a great day over at Sketchy Thursdays. The new team is ready to go and they all jumped in to show off their talents. My latest sketch is also over there, so get on over and play along for a chance to win a prize from Paper Lovelies.

My page today was made with my Oct. kit from Scrapbook Circle, as well as some of the Amy Tangerine goodies I had left over from the Sept. kit.

My son had stopped from playing his very important baseball game with Daddy to make a wish on a weed. Just love these pics. Soon enough he won't be so little anymore and weeds won't matter.

So glad you could stop in a see the layout I made today. Don't forget to stop by Sketchy Thursdays! Other than the awesome inspiration from the new team, you have to play along for the chance at the prize!

Have a lovely day!

Comfort food {on Pinterest}

I'm back! With more of my Pinterest recipe favorites. This time I'm focusing on the comfort foods. I don't know about where you are, but we had a chill here the past few days. It was time to bust out the comfort food!

The best one of the week for sure! It was perfect for the rainy, dreary Sunday that we just had last weekend.

This soup was great. Spicy, but not too spicy for the kid-o. And perfect with chips—I can see this being a dip if you let it thicken up a bit.

This noodle and rice dish was delish! And the best was that each time we reheated it, it got thicker and more casserole-like. It's officially a must-make dish at the Fisher house now.

Thanks for stopping by to see the comfort food post for today. Mmmmm .... OK, now I'm hungry! Enjoy!

Fall wreath

I took a different approach to my fall wreath this year.

I used a larger flower instead of the ribbon and bow, and I minimized the accent flowers by using hand-rolled felt flowers in a single color. The leaves are purple and the flowers are grey, which are a nice contrast to the zebra-striped flower as the main focus.

I am so happy with how this turned out. I plan on sneaking a small spider onto the flowers in a few weeks for a Halloween effect. Don't tell the hubs—it's gonna scare the wits out of him once he figures out it's on there.

Thanks so much for stopping in today to see my wreath. I always appreciate you stopping in!

30 Days {my day}

I am so happy to be celebrating Kristy's birthday month with her, and 30 Days of fun tips, tricks and guests. Today is my day to post to the odd girl blog. I would love it if you could stop on over and see what I made.

OK ... here's a sneak just so you can see what you're getting yourself into. My project is printing on fabric using freezer paper, digital stamps and an ink jet printer.

Hope to see you stop by http://www.theoddgirl.com/ during the next 30 days for all the fun—including some giveaway chances! And thanks for visiting my blog today.

Polkadot Door {Oct. blog hop}

Welcome to the October Blog Hop and Inspiration Challenge at the Polkadot Door! Here is your challenge for the month of October.

How stinkin' cute is this?! I couldn't help but be inspired by the clouds, the red and green, and the holiday feel to both the word "believe" as well as the little elf costumes. Here is what I made with this inspiration.

I used the new holiday dies and stamps from Papertrey Ink, and the candy canes are red felt with white ink for the stripes. I need to make a few dozen of these for the holidays.

Here are the rest of the hop links, or you can go straight to Mazlina
