Card sketch {bella blvd}

Today on the Bella Blvd blog we are sharing cards that go with the above sketch. Since we make two cards, I wanted to make sure one was true to the horizontal layout and that the other one tried a vertical spin.

For the vertical card, I used the three levels for the flowers to represent the trees, house and car. I then used the strips of pattern at the bottom as the rolling hills.

I love how this turned out — a classic wintery scene.

Supplies: Christmas Countdown (Borders, City Sidewalks, Believe, Tabs, Alpha + Bits)

For the second card, I held true to the horizontal format and used circles of different weights and textures to represent the flowers in the sketch.

Supplies: Thankful (Homey, Borders, Our Spot, Alpha + Bits)

Thanks for stopping to see my cards today! Have a great Friday, and swing by the Bella Blvd blog to see what the other girls came up with for their cards.

Pinterest inspiration {lily bee}

Lily Bee has some new collections: Urban Autumn and We R Family. I sat down to create a few cards using these new lines, and I used Pinterest as a jumping off point for my inspiration. I was pulled towards the Aztec prints, golds and browns, as well as nature images.

You can see above the collage I created, and below are the cards I made to get you inspired to create using these new collections.

This first card is a mini card. It is smaller than a normal 4x6 card and in that a 3x4 card from the Urban Autumn Daily Deck fits perfectly in the center.

I love the wood veneers from that collection, too, so I used them to anchor the busy patterns.

Sweet Spot Enamel Stickers from the We R Family collection made the perfect little dots in the leaves.

For the second card, I went back to the 4x6 size and cut pattern paper to fit the background. A 3x4 card adds dimension, and a nice circle cut out leaves room for the Urban Autumn Metal Badge.

I added some of the We R Family Enamel Stickers on top of the badge. The "together" pennant came from the wood veneers package from We R Family.

I had fun mixing these two collections for these cards. And using Pinterest is always great to get your crafty mojo going.

Thanks for stopping to see my cards today!

Colors of Christmas {imaginisce}

This week we are sharing the reveal posts for the new holiday collection from Imaginisce. It is called Colors of Christmas, and I just love this line. I am a huge fan of red, white and teal for holiday decor, so this collection had me right away with the colors.

Throw in a wide-eyed owl sticker stacker and I was hooked!

For my first project I altered this fun clear tube with Colors of Christmas paper, die cuts, stickers and bling. I need about 10 more tubes and some candy — these would be great for kiddie treats this Christmas!

Supplies: Colors of Christmas: (Pattern paper: Holiday Wishes, Vintage Ornaments), Journaling Die Cuts, Sticker Stacker, Bling.

For my second project, I made a wreath. It started as a plain chipboard wreath you can get at nearly any craft store. I cut two different tones of green dot-embossed card stock for my base leaves using my Cameo. I then used paper from Colors of Christmas for the green and white striped leaves.

I cut the large bow from the Cameo as well and added some bling berries from the Colors of Christmas bling package.

The project didn't seem complete without a little ornament hanging from the center. I layered a few die cuts, stickers and journaling spots to create it.

Supplies: Colors of Christmas: (Pattern paper: Peppermint Stripe, Vintage Ornaments), Bling, Phrases Die Cuts, Journaling Die Cuts, Icon Die Cuts, Sticker Stacker.

Thank you so much for stopping by here today to see my Colors of Christmas holiday gifts and decor. I had a fun weekend creating a bunch with this collection, so I'll be back next week with some more gift and decor ideas.

Until then, stop by the Imaginisce blog for more inspiration!

Thanksgiving week {imaginisce}

At Imaginisce, we have Thanksgiving on our mind! For the past two weeks, we've been sharing decor and gift ideas for the Thanksgiving holiday. For today, I made this pumpkin decor piece and a gift bag.

I made the pumpkin using a file available on the Silhouette store and Imaginisce Bushel O' Fall paper.

The bag was also made with a Silhouette store file and the Bushel O' Fall collection. The added bling makes the center band sparkle. On the back of the bag, I also affixed a gift tag shaped like an acorn with a deer sticker (from Bushel O' Fall). How cute is that deer?!

SUPPLIES: Bushel O' Fall (Pattern paper - Maize, Autumn Sunset, Crisp Apple, Into the  Woods), So Dear Sticker Stacker, Bling
Outdoor Adventure (Pattern paper - Forest)

Thanks for stopping here today to see my Thanksgiving week projects. Check out more fall-inspired projects on the Imaginisce blog.

Using designer tape on cards {bella blvd}

Bella Blvd is challenging you to use your Designer Tape creatively this month.

For this first card, I used some of my favorite Bella Blvd designer tapes to make this pie chart spinner card. Each tape represents a different piece of the pie, and all spins result in love & kisses. What a fun and interactive way to send your sweetie some love!

Supplies: Engaged (Miniatures)  Kiss Me (Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha + Bits)  Love and Marriage (Cute Cuts)  Designer Tape (Cotton Candy Chevron, Hot Pink Dot, Navy Dot, Pony Stripe

Designer tape can be used to add a pop of color when an overwhelming pattern paper would take away from the simplicity of your card or layout. The designer tape adds interest to the large sentiment  down the side of the card.

Supplies: Christmas Countdown (Tabs, Paper Pieces)  Designer Tape (Chevron Combo pack)

Check out the rest of the design team's Designer Tape ideas and inspiration today on the Bella Blvd blog.
