Getting nautical {cocoa daisy}

Well, if you know me at all, you know I love this! I feel like I loved all things nautical before they were popular. A great blue and white stripe goes with everything and an anchor can be the best finishing touch.

When I saw this summer stamp from Cocoa Daisy, I instantly thought nautical. The ink I used is also in the kit from Maya Road. It's a wonderful orange color that is rich and covers really well.

And how cute is that little wooden boat? Makes me want to sail away! Thanks for stopping by here today to see my card. I have loved sharing my Cocoa Daisy projects with you. Such a fun kit! Hope you have one coming to a mailbox near you!

Messin' around {cocoa daisy} & a winner

Hi there! More of the Cocoa Daisy Sante Fe Sunset kit today. I also used a mask I got from the Cocoa Daisy shop for the white on the background. I just used an cat's eye ink with the mask for this result.

Love that button from the kit, don't you?! So fun!

The pictures on this layout are from this past May sometime when Nate and I were in the car waiting for hubs to get out of a store. Nate had a blue tongue from a sucker, I think, and we were just messing around with the camera on my phone.

I love how all of the layers ended up on this page. The grey, yellow and blue are perfect together on this.

Thanks for stopping to see my page today. The Cocoa Daisy kit is amazing! I hope you got one for yourself.

I also have the winner from Mo's die cuts class to announce. Congrats to Barb! Contact Mo at momostamper [at] yahoo [dot] com to get the details about your free seat.

2 lost teeth {cocoa daisy}

Hi! Here is more of the amazing Cocoa Daisy August kit - Santa Fe Sunset. Were you at the chat last night? If you were busy, stop by today and see what we were doing, join in this morning and scoop up your add-ons!

See the stamp in the corner of this page? It's in the Cocoa Daisy kit this month. I stamped first with a Jenni Bowlin paint dabber and then again with black ink. I like the layered look.

The photo in this page is of Nate with his favorite Dunkin Donuts blue raspberry Coolatta. I noticed when he put the straw in his mouth, it went right through the gap in his teeth. So cute! I don't think he even noticed that the straw did that.

Thanks for stopping by today to see more of the Cocoa Daisy Santa Fe Sunset kit.

Cocoa Daisy {reveal day}

It's reveal day at Cocoa Daisy! We'll be on the forum chatting away at 9 p.m. (EST) tonight. You'll get to see what the ladies on the design team have been up to, chat it up, win prizes, and just have an all-around good time. Can't wait!

This was the first page I made using the kit — the creativity just poured out after this. I used mostly the embellishment add-on kit for this page. I love the little wooden cameras, the wood pennants and the washi tapes in the add-on.

I have to tell the story of this picture. My son was invited to a birthday party that had the Reptile Guy as the entertainment. At then end, he brought out a large snake and had each family posed with the snake. See my death grip on Nate's shoulders? That was one scary moment! I could feel the snake's skin crawling on my neck.

Thanks for stopping to see my work with the Cocoa Daisy kit. I've got lots more to share, too!

Relax & catch some rays!

Hi! Here's some more of the fabulous Scrapbook Circle August kit. Of course, more water pictures of the little guy.

For this layout, I made my own tag, too. Super easy! There is a tag in the kit, then I just anchored a die cut off of the side and put a ribbon through the top. Just a quick and simple way to spruce up a tag and your journaling.

The grey and white bag in the background is left over from the Scrapbook Circle July kit. I had been hanging onto it and this page seemed right to finally use it. And the washi tape with the clouds and hearts is from Freckled Fawn. I am addicted, just so you know. I will have tape showing up all over my layouts. And to think I used to consider myself washi challenged!

Thanks for stopping to see my layout today.. I hope you all have a great weekend up ahead. I know I do! I'm so excited that Sara from ScrapFIT is in town. We are going to have dinner and go to a ball game with our guys and boys. So fun!

Soak up the sun

Scrapbook Circle's August kit is overflowing with wonderful colors and patterns for summertime layouts and projects. How great is this yellow sunburst background?!

My little man here in this picture after having been in our pool. I can't believe how big he's getting! At least he still stands still long enough for me to snap some pictures.

Christmas in July {imaginisce}

Hi! This is a fun week over at Imaginisce. We are celebrating Christmas in July as we look at what the newest collection, Christmas Cheer, has to offer. I love the classic red and green in this line and I think you will, too!

First, I made a layout. I used the die cuts, the canvas stickers, the cardboard stickers, the 3-D stickers and a few different sheets of the 12x12 papers. They all coordinate flawlessly.

Next, I embellished a wooden birdhouse as an ornament for the tree. I really love how this turned out and can't wait to hang it. The scrunchy ribbon at the top is from May Arts and it is the perfect color and texture for this project.

Here is a look at all of the sides on the birdhouse. I was tempted to hoard that clock and little birdie for Christmas 2012 layouts, but I just knew they belonged on this project. I'll have to make sure I get a few more, eh?! :)

Thank you for stopping by for our Christmas in July celebration. Make sure to stop by the Imaginisce blog and see what everyone else made. Seriously, those girls out-did themselves. I'm always amazed at their creativity.

Cocoa Daisy {Santa Fe Sunset}

The Cocoa Daisy August kit, Santa Fe Sunset, is for anyone who has an appreciation for travel. It’s also for those who simply dream of setting out to explore.
The kit features exclusives from Maya Road and Ormolu, along with newly released product from Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey and My Mind’s Eye.
Add ons are named after two Santa Fe art galleries, and include a special travel based project kit designed by Christine.
This main kit is definitely amazing all on its own.

I also scooped up one of the embellishment pack add ons. I can never have too many of those little wooden cameras!

And the newest stamps are amazing! The quality is terrific and there are so many possibilities for using these. I can't wait to share what I've been working on!

Thanks for stopping to get a peek at the Santa Fe Sunset kit from Cocoa Daisy. We'll have the reveal night on the message board on the 28th. Stop by then to see more of the kit, chat, and win prizes!

The class is an instructor led class PACKED with phenomenal information and ideas for using simple die-cut shapes (circles, squares, and hearts). It's a 3 week class regularly $39.99 — but FREE to one winner here on my blog. You can also win at Mo's blog, so you have a more chances to win!

Class Description
Level: Intermediate
Whether you already have a variety of punches or you’re a beginning scrapbooker just building your craft arsenal, you’ll benefit from the ideas in Scrapbooking with Punches and Die-Cuts.

I’ll show you how to speed up your scrapping time by using basic shaped punches on your layouts as well as practical uses for basic shapes such as circles, squares and hearts. For example, I’ll show you how to create a gorgeous flower using only heart shapes.

I’ll also help you with design by providing you with:
9 sketches to use for your class projects (and to add to your sketch collection)
9 interesting ideas on how to use simple die-cut shapes (three ideas for each shape)
9 sketches presented in full-color palettes (sketches also available in black-and-white)
9 finished layouts
Assorted shape templates
You’ll even get a big surprise in the end!

In this class, you’ll learn how to apply scrapbook page design skills and color palette ideas to create fabulous scrapbook layouts that use all the creative ideas presented in the lessons.

All information will be presented in a mostly video format with the ability to retrieve the sketches and templates as documents to save to your computer. You’ll need a circle, square and heart punch/shape/die-cut, although you’ll also be able to use the shape templates for some of the lessons.

So be sure to register for this class today! I can’t wait to meet and have some tremendous scrappy fun with you!

Cocoa Daisy, Club CK & Empire State Yankees

Hi! I had a chance to just play around with whatever I'd like the other night and this was the result. I had the Cocoa Daisy July kit on my desk and the stamps that I had yet to really dive into.

I used the pennant arrows on the right side of the layout with some distressing ink. The little hand is in the top left corner in black. "Wednesday" and the arrow is in lower left corner. I love how versatile these stamps are! I can see that I'll use these on layouts a lot.

This picture was taken in the end of June when we went to an Empire State Yankees game and one of the past New York Yankees catchers, Francisco Cervelli, happened to be catching. In fact, Cervelli even tossed a ball into the stands near where we were sitting next to their dug out. The boy that caught it ended up giving the ball to Nate (we don't know why he gave him the ball, just a very generous gesture on that kid's part). Nate is eternally grateful — he calls it his "Cervelli Ball."

I also used the latest sketch from Ashley over at Club CK. You still have some time to play along, so head on over to Club CK and see the sketch challenge for July. It's a great one!

Thanks for stopping by to see my page today. Hope you all have a great weekend planned.

Everyday inspiration {imaginisce}

Hello! This week at Imaginisce the ladies on the DT are looking to everyday inspiration to help create their layouts and projects. For my page, I used the tires on the bike to drive the layout.

The circles die cut is from the Silhouette store and I used the Cameo to cut it from a sheet of paper from the Makin' Waves collection.

I have to say, of you use cuts like this a lot from the Cameo and you layer photos underneath it — you need a Clicut from Imaginisce! It made it so easy to navigate cutting the photo from the circles. Just sayin' … you might want to consider it. :)

The black circle are actually tires I cut from the Cameo, too. The spokes didn't turn out too well because the tires were so small, but the circles do look like they have tread on them.

Next time you are setting up to make a layout, what do you have laying around that can inspire your design? What from the photos can drive the technique?

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout! Check out Imaginisce for other great Everyday Inspirations from this week!
