Scrapbook Circle | Paper Issues Challenge

Scrapbook Circle has partnered up with Paper Issues for the latest Issue challenge at PI. You can win the March kit from Scrapbook Circle by playing along with the following prompt: Prints Charming's Beautiful Papers.

I played along using my April kit from Scrapbook Circle, which is chock full of amazing pattern papers. And of course, I included my little prince in the layout.

In case the title of my page is throwing you off (lol), we decorated our Easter eggs this year to look like Minions. They took a little bit to dry between colors and then dry again to be able to put the googly eyes on. The boy was doing his math packet that was assigned for his spring break, so he kept taking turns between doing a problem and drawing the Minion faces on the eggs.

If you have a chance, link up over on Paper Issues to play along and have a chance to win the kit from Scrapbook Circle.

Jolly sleigh ride {chic tags}

This Sunday I was looking online for some inspiration and stumbled upon a sketch from Chic Tags. I had this pack of Good Tidings embellishments that I got from Paper Issues not too long ago and was itching to use some of the pictures I had been collecting for my December album on a layout.

I was also looking forward to getting a bit messy, so I grabbed my embossing paste and a snowflake stencil to add some fun wintery embellishments to the background of my gray card stock.

If you are looking for a really great texture for snowflakes on your projects, try embossing paste! Use it on a gray card stock for a bit more kick than if it was white-on-white.

Add some sequins, mist and stitching to call it a day! I love how this turned out, and it was just what I needed for some scrappy happiness this past weekend. Thanks for stopping by here today to see my layout!

Made with love

Every once in awhile, I get to play around with some new supplies just because. For 2014, I am determined to do more of that!

I hit up Paper Issues for a little bit of "just for me" shopping last month and landed on some amazing supplies from Chic Tags, Lawn Fawn and Fancy Pants. (The Elle's Studio on the page I had scooped up earlier.)

We had our first big snowfall in mid-December, and the boy had to go out and play in it. I snapped these pictures from the comfort of our front porch, and the Timbergrove collection was perfect for documenting it.

I also used the sketch from Paper Issues as some added inspiration. You have until the 5th to link up with the sketch for a chance to win a prize from PI.

Thanks for stopping here today! Have a wonderful weekend.

Supplies: Chic Tags (Good Tidings Icons), Fancy Pants (Timbergrove collection), Lawn Fawn (Lawn Ornaments Mixed Sequins), Elle's Studio (December kit)

Card sketch {scrapbook circle}

It's that time of year! I just love the holidays — especially holiday cards. For the sketch challenge this month at Scrapbook Circle, I made it easy for you with a card sketch. This month is busy enough, but most of us need at least one holiday card to give.

Use the All is Bright or another Scrapbook Circle kit to make a card, use this month's sketch, and then share your card with us on the blog or on Facebook.

One lucky participant will win this month's prize: A $20 gift card to Paper Issues! So get to creating and link up your creation to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page or blog.

A lucky baby card {paper issues}

We have a few babies on the way in our office, so we just had a baby shower at work to celebrate. I, of course, volunteer to make the cards. My favorite cards to make are new arrival and wedding — I just love those moments!

I used the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm 6" x 6" paper pad for this card (which I scooped up from the Paper Issues shop). The baby stamp is a few years old and it is from Papertrey Ink.

If you feel like doing some shopping, stop by the Paper Issues shop. I have a discount for all of my blog readers. Use code DIANA20 at checkout for 20% off your total order.

We're rollin' {paper issues}

I love my #cassiemail! If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen my Paper Issues delivery photos — my #cassiemail. Sometimes I rip right into what I get from the Paper Issues shop, sometimes I have to wait and admire the paper a little longer.

The Down by the Shore collection from Fancy Pants plopped its way onto my desk via #cassiemail and I did wait a week or so to play with all of the wonderful nautical themed goodness. But once I did, it was so worth the wait. I love these colors and patterns!

The photos are from a few weeks ago. Nate had just gotten a hair cut, so we were sending pics to Daddy at work, and we got a little bit silly (as we tend to do). I just love our weekends together. As a working mom, my Saturdays and Sundays with Nate mean the world to me. I look forward to them all week long and plot how we'll spend every moment having the most fun possible.

I know these days will be gone soon — he's growing so fast. Nothing beats some crusin' in the car time on the weekends with my boy!

If you are looking to get some of this collection (or any other scrapbooking supply!), make sure to check out the Paper Issues shop. Use my coupon code for 20% off your total order. Enter DIANA20 at checkout!

Welcome to Paper Issues "Up in the Clouds" blog hop!
You should have arrived here from Asa's blog.

 If this is your first stop, be sure to head over to Paper Issues to start at the beginning.

I was over-the-moon ecstatic to work with a stamp set from Some Odd Girl. I used pretty much everything from the set on one layout. The rain drops and cloud, the chevrons and the sentiments.

I used pink and orange inks from Martha Stewart and created an ombre effect on them, too.

Do you like the papers I used, too? And the little bow? The Lucky Charm 6x6 paper pad and the Maggie Holmes Crate Paper bows are all for sale in the Paper Issues Shop. Use discount code DIANA20 at checkout for 20% off your total purchase on anything in the shop.

Make sure to hop along with us and 3 winners will receive a stamp set of choice from the Some Odd Girl shop. You'll also want to follow along at the following fabulous places...

Hoppin' for Sara's Birthday!

It's Sara's birthday and she wants to offer up some gifts to all of you! She asked a special group scrappy friends to join her in celebrating her birthday with this blog hop. You're going to find a ton of inspiration along the way!

I happily made a sketch for all of the gals to use for the hop. Now you can use it as well!

There are 2 gifts up for grabs for those doing the hop:
• A $30 Gift Certificate to Paper Issues will go to one lucky winner who links up their layout based on my sketch to the linky on Sara's blog by midnight on February 9th.  (You must also be a follower of her blog to eligible.)

• A Creative Scrappers/Creating with Sketches e-book. She'll be giving away 2 copies of this ebook to two birthday hoppers that leave a comment on each post throughout the hop.

HERE IS THE HOP!

Diana Fisher (you are here)

Below is the layout I made using the birthday hop sketch. I actually made this page at the Relay For Life Crop I went to last month where I got to meet the hopper after me (Audrey) for the first time. It was so fun!

You have until midnight on February 9th to complete the hop (don’t forget to leave your comments) and enter your layout based on our birthday sketch for a chance at winning a birthday blog hop gift!

Comment here on my blog for a chance to win this Maya Road hop prize from me! Remember to be a follower of my blog so you'll see the announcement that you won this prize.

Thanks for hopping along with us!
