Samantha Walker and JustRite hop

Welcome to day two of the Samantha Walker and JustRite hop. We are sharing some of the best of the JustRite stamps designed by Samantha Walker. You should have come to my blog from Darsie Bruno's blog. If not, you can stop by the JustRite Inspiration blog and start at the beginning.

I have to admit that my jaw hit the floor when I got the newest collections — I love them all — obvious by my choice to use nearly every stamp in the All Boy Clear Stamps Set down the left side of this layout.

I also used the Pattern Basics Clear Stamps with the dots border stamp. It added fun texture to the edge of the background and to the papers.

The papers I used are from Samantha Walker's Giddy Up boy collection from Carta Bella. I love the mustache paper as well as the blue and green tones in this collection. With a 7-year-old boy to scrap for, I know I'll be using a lot of this collection.

Samantha Walker and JustRite are celebrating this hop with 25% off all of Samantha Walker's stamps and dies. Stop by and grab a few!

Here is the hop order for today...

You can head on over to Sheri Holt's blog to keep hopping along. Below are the prizes up for grabs for the two day hop.

I hope you've been enjoying the hop! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Shaped cards {imaginisce}

This week at Imaginisce we are having fun with shaped cards. I made this sailboat card for the assignment. Don't you just want to sail away on it?!

I used a studio cut file from the Silhouette store. It was for a paper pieced sailboat, but I released the layers, pushed them together so they were touching and then used the weld option to make them all one piece. I resized the original pieces and cut those again for the red and blue accent pieces on the card.

The fish is a 3-D sticker from Imaginisce's Endless Summer and the Sun is a die cut also from Endless Summer.

I challenge you to look at some of the objects you've downloaded for your digital cutter. Are there any pieces you can alter to be shaped cards? I bet there are! Start playing around with the files and I bet you'll be surprised at how versatile each download really can be.

Thanks for stopping to see my card today!

Telling the story {lily bee}

At the Lily Bee blog this week, we are sharing projects that tell the story and focus on the journaling. If you know me well, you know that this is not my strong suit. One, my handwriting is horrible and no one can read it — I can barely read it myself! Second, I never know what to say.

For me, it's easier to journal when there is an event to talk about. My son went to the USSSA Baseball day at Frontier Field. Some of the Red Wings players were there to talk to the kids, answer their questions and give them tips on how to play the game.

Having the event to talk about, made it so much better to tell the story. I also wanted to make sure I got as many pictures on the page as possible. I used a photo strip along the bottom and then the circles cut from my Cameo for the larger pictures I wanted to focus on.

I am sharing the studio file with you as my gift to you! You can download it HERE. The circles are purposefully set at 4", 3.5" and 2.5" for easily using photos you have printed.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout today. Stop by the Lily Bee blog to see what Cindy did today!

Using printables {scrapbook circle}

Scrapbook Circle kit club members receive a free printable with their monthly kit. For June, there was a separate printable for the Let's Celebrate party kit that was offered as a bonus kit this month. I could not pass up using the fun nautical themed party accents on a layout.

Have you received a printable lately? Take a look at the pieces and see what else you can do with the designs. The best part is that you can print them over and over again and even onto different kinds of paper, making the printable your most versatile supply.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout today!

Black Ice collection {imaginisce}

This week at Imaginisce we've been sharing work with the latest collection called Black Ice. Every piece in the collection is black and white and combines florals with other simple patterns, like dots or chevrons.

To really show off the collection, I just couldn't bear to add any color to my work with it. Even the photo had to be black and white.

I just love this sweet moment of my little guy listening intently to his coach after a game. There won't be too many years left where he is adorable and small in the grass like he is here.

I also made a card by fussy-cutting one of the patterned papers in the collection. The stamp is from the Hello Cupcake collection at Imaginisce. It's one of my favorite birthday sentiment stamps and gets plenty of use.

Thanks for stopping here today to see my work with the new Black Ice collection. Scoot on over to the Imaginisce blog to see what the rest of the DT has been up to.

Father's Day {lily bee}

Father's Day is this Sunday — are you ready to give the dads in your life a little treat to celebrate? This past Wednesday (while I was hopping here for Samantha Walker), I shared this card and treat bag set on the Lily Bee blog

I love how they turned out and wanted to share them here, too.

I used the Destination Collection from Lily Bee for both the card and the bag. The dark woodgrain on nearly every piece of this collection has grabbed my heart and won't let go. I find myself gravitating to it often, especially for manly projects.

I used one of the brad's from the Brad, Badge, Button and Baker's Bundle in the Destination collection for the top of the tie, which is essentially the opening flap on the treat bag. It is fabric covered and I love the extra pop it gives to it.

I feel this way with most of my Lily Bee projects, but with each new one, I think, "ok, now this one's my favorite." I just love this card and bag!

Thanks for stopping to celebrate dads will me today —and earlier this week.

Father's week {pink paislee}

Pink Paislee is celebrating Fathers this week in honor of Father's Day this coming Sunday. Today is my turn on the blog, and I'm sharing this gift box and card set that I made using the Cottage Farms collection and a pop of Luxe with those fabulous chipboard stars.

I used Cottage Farms 12x12 paper, the die cuts and foam pop-up adhesive to get the layered look on the front of this card cut from kraft paper.

The gift box was cut from a Silhouette file on the Cameo. I love this shape for manly gift boxes. You just know it isn't a jewelry box and it is sure to be filled with something sweet or salty — perfect for Dad!

Thanks for stopping to see my Father's Week inspiration for Pink Paislee today. Swing on by the PP blog to get more information on how I made this and the supplies I used.

I also used the Single Scoop Ice Cream Card digital cut file from Samantha Walker. I took it apart in the studio file and made it just a cut file and not a folded card.

Tombow and Imaginisce blog hop

Imaginisce has teamed up with Tombow to share fabulous prizes and inspiration with you. We are hopping today to celebrate! You should have come to my blog from Adora's post. If you didn't you can start over at the beginning at the Tombow blog or see the hop list at the end of my post.

This is a card I made using Tombow and Imaginisce. They go so well together, don't they?

I used dark brown card stock for my base and then a sheet from Imaginisce Outdoor Adventure for the background. The 3-D Stickers are from Endless Summer and the clouds and stamp are from Outdoor Adventure.

I colored in the grill using Tombow markers #025 (yellow) and #925 (orange). They are dual tipped and were so easy to use on the little parts of the stamped image. I also used the Dots Adhesive Runner and Power Adhesive Tabs on the card.

You can win the Endless Summer collection from Imaginisce and a fabulous prize pack from Tombow (Dual Brush Pen Set, 10 Jellybean, MONO Adhesive Dots Value Pack of 3 applicators and Power Adhesive Tabs) just for commenting and hopping along with us this week.

Here is the hop order for today:

Shaped minis {samantha walker}

Hi! I'm over on the Samantha Walker blog today sharing my tutorial on how I made this popsicle mini album out of a shaped card template. I used the Frozen Treat Card from Samantha Walker in the Silhouette online store.

I also used the Cool Summer collection from Carta Bella by Samantha Walker. I just love this collection for all of the summertime moments that have been creeping up as the weather gets warmer.

I made this mini for Nate for the summer. He's a big fan of journaling and likes it when I make him little books to write it and glue pictures into. I just know he's going to get such a kick out of this!

Both the papers and the sticker sheet had great journaling spaces that I added in. It'll be nice for him to know exactly where to write his story.

Thanks for stopping in to see the mini. The details on how I made it can be found over on the Samantha Walker blog!

Birthday pancakes {scrapbook circle}

Hi! Dropping by here today to share with you the layout I made using the First Avenue kit from Scrapbook Circle and the sketch for this month. You can find the sketch at the end of this post and more details on the Scrapbook Circle blog.

Crate Paper is giving away a DIY Shop Prize Pack to one lucky sketch player, so scoot over and see how you can win this month by playing along.

There are fun stickers and chipboard this month at Scrapbook Circle. They are from the Hipster collection at Basic Grey, and they are so fun for my son's birthday celebration page.

On the Saturday morning before his birthday (which was on a Wednesday), I made chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream, sprinkles and more chocolate chips. It was so fun to have a little treat when he woke up that morning.

Here is the sketch to play along with. Can't wait to see what you make…and don't forget to link up your creation on the Scrapbook Circle blog for your chance to win some Crate Paper goodies. Thanks for stopping to see my layout today!
