My sneak peeks {cocoa daisy}

Hi all! Just dropping in to entice you with the Cocoa Daisy kit for March called Sketchbook. I have to warn you that I had two of the add-on kits (Renderings & Freehand), so if you see something you love, it may be in an add-on instead of the main kit.

The stamps for March are amazing and versatile!

And there is lots of yummy flair... as you can see.

Subscribers can scoop up the add-ons beginning at 9 p.m. (EST) on the 28th. We'll be chatting over on the site for the reveal night. The main kit and everything else goes on sale to the public on March 1st. The good news is that it's a short month, so March 1 is right around the corner.

Hope to see you over on the forum on the 28th for the reveal! Thanks for taking a peek at what I've been working on.

Newborn cards {and a fabulous weekend!}

Stopping in to share newborn cards with you today — cards I made at a little crop this past weekend. If you are my friend on Facebook or Instagram, you saw that I spent this past weekend in the company of some fabulous ladies: Sara Zenger, Audrey Yeager and Heather Leopard

It was a great weekend and I can't wait until we can get together and do that again! The picture above is from our dinner at Pastabilities on Friday night.

As for inspiration for today's post — here are the cards I made. I used the Cameo for the baby buggie and the whale using cuts available in the Silhouette store.

For the words, I cut those from fonts I had and then using the Weld modification. I have to admit, I am a bit hooked on that feature lately.

Thanks for stopping to see the cards and pics from the trip last weekend.

Did you see Sketchbook? {cocoa daisy}

For March, Cocoa Daisy has an art-inspired kit they call Sketchbook. Just like the small inspiration pieces that can fill an artist’s notebook, Cocoa Daisy has gathered bits and pieces to give you plenty of inspiration as you create your masterpieces.

I have to admit that I loved both add-on kits so much I ordered them both — not something I do often — but these two are amazing. So, save up your pennies and hope to grab them quickly.

We'll have to reveal for the March kit on February 28th at 9 p.m. (EST) on the Cocoa Daisy forum. Hope to see you there! Subscribers will be able to snag the extras that night before anyone else, so if you are thinking about subscribing, now's the time to get in while the goodies are still there.

i-Top buttons {imaginisce}

Today I am happy to share with you the project I  made using the i-Top from Imaginisce and their buttons. It is really easy to make these with paper or fabric — and I chose fabric in this case.

I made a cute custom dish towel set. First, I cut the fabric to the size I wanted, used some heat-bond to affix it to the towel and then sewed it on for good measure. Then, using the extra fabric I had leftover from cutting the accent on the towel, I sat down to make the buttons.

I used the medium and large buttons. I cut circle with my scissors and then used the i-Top to make the buttons. It was fast and easy! I made a quick gift tag with a manilla shipping tag and a piece of paper from the Childhood Memories collection.

A stamped sentiment at the top of the tag, and then I adhered the buttons with some thin foam dots. I could have sewn them on, but in this case, I just used a little adhesive.

And there you have it — a quick hostess gift or thank you for someone special. Pair it with some kitchen goodies, and you have a great addition to a gift basket.

Thanks for stopping to see my project today. Check out the Imaginisce blog for more ideas on how to use the button for the i-Top tool.

Got sketch? {pink paislee}

Today I am sharing a layout on the Pink Paislee blog for Got Sketch? week. You can see the sketch at the bottom of this post or on the Pink Paislee blog.

I used the Portfolio and Artisan collections to make this page. I absolutely love working with the Artisan papers. They really take mists so well and allow you to make custom, heavy-weight papers that exactly match the look you are going for.

For this effect, I used 3 or 4 Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists and rubbed them around on the paper with my fingers. I spread the darker colors to the top and the lighter colors to the bottom. It created a great ombre look.

I also used the mists to tint the clouds blue, and there are mist splatters in the chipboard stars.

Thanks for stopping by here today. I hope you'll visit the Pink Paislee blog this week to see what the other designers did with the sketch for the month.

Guesting and a new sketch

I am happy to be sharing my second layout for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. I am guest designing over there for the month of February. Today there is a sketch challenge posted, so if you are looking for a sketch to inspire you, head on over there!

I made this page with scraps that I had in my scrap drawer. Lots of great leftover pieces from Scrapbook Circle and Cocoa Daisy. I believe the papers are from the January Only You kit from Scrapbook Circle.

I also used the star stencil and some distressing ink to make the stars at the top of the page.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout today. Hope to see you playing over at the AFSC site for the sketch challenge. And a huge THANK YOU to Anne for having me play along over there this month.

Now, for this month's theme: LOVE!

I used the Samantha Walker Pair of Hearts Box and cut it from red card stock. The best part about this box if that you can surprise someone with two kinds of candy — each peeking through a side of the heart. I have M&Ms on one side and red jelly hearts on the other. Yum!
