Tic Tac Toe {whimsical twist}

Hello and happy Monday! Today at Whimsical Twist we are sharing a new challenge to keep you motivated and scrappy. This challenge is to use the Tic Tac Toe board we provided and use elements that line up 3 in a row on one project.

Since I like a lot of embellishments on a page, I used 2 different lines of 3 on my page. I used washi/enamel dots/thickers as well as the washi/vellum/spray mist line. You can see the board at the end of this post or on the Whimsical Twist blog.

I also used the Glitz Design Dapper Dan collection on this baseball layout. I love the manly rugged feel to that collection for my son's pages. You can scoop up some Dapper Dan in the Whimsical Twist shop.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us before the end of the month! Challenges like this are always great to get you started creating. Thanks for stopping by here today.

October sketch challenge {scrapbook circle}

It's time for another sketch challenge at Scrapbook Circle. You can see the sketch below at the end of this post, or check out the Scrapbook Circle blog for details on how to play along.

I used the latest kit, So Happy Together, from Scrapbook Circle to make my page.

I had a lot of fun making this page. Not only was I hanging with some great scrappy friends at a crop when I made it, but I also had some fun making the background cut on my Cameo. The papers from Glitz Wild & Free are so bright and fun — it made it so easy to create an eye-catching page.

This is the sketch you can play along with. To be eligible to win a prize pack from Pink Paislee (did you see the awesome Color Wash canvas pieces in the So Happy Together kit?), check out the details on the Scrapbook Circle blog.

Thanks for stopping by here today to see my layout and the latest sketch!

So Happy Together {scrapbook circle}

It's nearly October, so it's time to reveal the next Scrapbook Circle kit. I was lucky enough to get to play around with this colorful kit this past weekend while I was at a crop (and hanging out with scrapbook circle friend and co-DT member, Audrey Yeager).

If you would like to scoop up one of these kits, check out the details and the Scrapbook Circle website.

I'm excited to share with you later this month the layout that was the first half of this card. The pattern here is what was left after a very fun cut on my Cameo, and Audrey mentioned that the extra pieces were perfect for a card. Thank you, Audrey! Croppin' at its best!

This paper is from Glitz Design Wild & Free Collection, called Dream Catcher. There are a lot of rich colors in this kit.

Thanks for stopping to see my card today.

World Card Making Day is this Saturday, Oct. 5th, so I have been making cards for many of my teams. Will you be making cards this week or on the weekend?

My new tattoo

My friend Renee came over this past weekend and we spent an afternoon just chattin' and scrappin' while our kids played. It was fun, and I made this layout while we crafted.

It's a mix of Fancy Pants, Glitz Design and a stamp set from Kelly Purkey — some of my recent favorites that I seem to reach for whenever I get the chance.

I got my new tattoo a few weeks ago and I love how it turned out. I designed it in Photoshop ahead of time and the tattoo artist did a great job giving me exactly what I wanted. The word in the top left corner says "create,"in case it is too small to read.

I found out that the anchor can symbolize tranquility, serenity and hope. So, my tattoo means "forever creating, forever hopeful." I love that!

I doodled a bit on my page, too. Something I love the look of and never do enough. Thanks for stopping to see my layout today!
