Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my Sketchy Thursdays page with you. I made this page with my April kit from The Sampler. Remember the Ellie's Tale paper from Sassafras Lass that I was telling you about? Here's more of that paper. Now you can see the blue side with the feathers.

See the lovely pleated flower. That's also made from that blue paper with the feathers. I love the final effect it had with the rich blue and muted yellow.

TIP OF THE DAY: A glue gun is the best way to adhere these pleated flowers together. I've tried a bunch of different glues, and I am really happy with how the glue gun worked out on this one. Especially how it was able to adhere the button. Just an idea...

For the TAAFOMFT gals, we are sharing our FAVORITE COLORS. I just love great color combos. No color is amazing all by its lonesome but rather when it works well with others. Or so that's my theory. I'm sure I can be persuaded otherwise, though, lol. :)

My favorite color combo is a muted teal color when paired with chocolate brown and either pink or yellow. So fresh! I made this tag to show off these fave colors.

Ice cream, anyone?

I don't know about you, but I am so ready for an ice cream cone on a hot day. We're still in the 30s-40s here in Upstate NY, and I am not excited about all the rain that's in the forecast. So, to keep my spirits up, I continue to work with warm, sunny colors and fabulous images.

I made this card using the Card Patterns challenge #109. Definitely a sketch I can plan on using over and over again. It's fun and flirty, don't ya think?!


This cutie little Pure Innocence stamp arrived at my doorstep via ScrapbookingSuppliesRUs.com, as well as some new Copics. I was in need of some of the browns and dark greys for hair colors. I felt like all my recent images had the same hair color.

I also used part of my kit from The Sampler for the paper pierced dress and the papers in the cards. Elle's Tale from Sassafras Lass is in the kit and there is one piece of paper that I absolutely love. It's called Time Flies and it has the best pink polka dot paper on one side and a great blue color with feathers on the other side. Swoon!! I just love it. I need about 10 more sheets.

Happily Skipping Stones this month

I love April! I love it for the weather, the flowers and the smell of newness in the air. And I love this particular April because I am guest designing for Skipping Stones Design.

Though my bloggy friend, Jingle, I managed to wrangle myself the Funny Coffee set. I played along with their Tuesday sketch challenges for a few weeks and then happily found myself on the receiving end of a GDT e-mail. Yippee!!


This week's sketch should be live today for you to play along with us. Can you tell I am excited about this GDT spot? I have fallen in love with these stamps, and the ladies over at SSD are pretty cool, too.

For this card, I used the Dandelion Dreams set. I have to admit that this sketch threw me off. I sure hope it looks like I was able to pull it off in the end. :)

Spring chicks have issues

Carefree puddle stompin'

Hi everyone! Here's another card for you this week. I used Stompin Tobie from Some Odd Girl. Love these digi stamps. Lots of great characters to choose from. Check them out if you haven't yet.


Some Odd Girl has a challenge now to use a pleat. I also played along with the Card Makin' Mamas challenge to embellish a card. Other than the digi and the pleat, I also used twine, chipboard and stickers. Lots going on here!

Lil umbrella darling

I can't seem to get enough of this Pure Innocence: My Umbrella stamp from MFT. She looks like a darling little watercolor print in this frame, don't you think?!

Skipping Stones posted their sketch #70 challenge this week. Check out the link HERE to play along. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I've become quite the fan of Skipping Stones Design. There are so many stamps to choose from, and the sentiments that are paired with the images are great. I love it when I have a lot of sentiments to choose from.


For this card, I used the Chick Chat set. How cute—especially for this time of year as we get geared up for spring and Easter.

Sketchy Thursdays and Scrapbook Circle

Hello! Today is another Sketchy Thursdays reveal day. Oh, how I never tire of these! Can you tell I'm excited and proud every week that Sketchy Thursdays is thriving?! Such a fun place to play along if you aren't already.

This page is made with pictures I took at The Strong Museum of Play when we went to meet Curious George. Funny thing is that good ol' George was hiding on us for most of the time we were there, and we only barely saw him for a split second. I managed one poorly lit picture of Nate and his friend, Madison, with the monkey before he took off again.

Nate had brought along one of his many stuffed versions of George for the occasion (hence the pictures), and we ended up having a wonderful day anyways.
