a sunny birthday card
Hello! I hope everyone who celebrated the 4th of July had a wonderful weekend! I know most of us also have today off from work, and of course, school is out for most as well. So, enjoy the sunshine and summer!
This past weekend was also my mother-in-law's birthday, and here is the card I made for her. I have to share with you that this card is full of firsts for me.
For one, I did something with the inside of the card. Usually, I just leave the inside blank or with one simple sentiment. Thanks to the cute little window on the front of the card, I put more thought into the inside of the card.
Also, I misted the card with Maya Road mist in Sunflower yellow. I have never misted a card before. That was fun! :)
And lastly, my son added the buttons! He was making his own card for Grandma, sitting next to me in my craft room. He came over to me with the buttons and said, "Mom, it needs buttons." He picked the perfect colors and everything. I am so proud of my budding little artist.
Thanks for stopping in today!

Fun card! I love the little window full of cuteness. I think it's so adorable that Nate wants to help out, it reminds me of my nephew who always wants to scrapbook or help me with art projects when he visits. Well rounded little boys who play with trucks and paper...love it :)
