Card sketch | Bella Blvd

Some of the gals on the Bella Blvd team have made cards using this sketch. These are the two cards I made using Star Student and Simply Spring from the new collections just released.

Sometimes a pat on the back just won't do! Surprise your little champ with a card in their lunch box or book bag for a job well done. I flipped the sketch on its side for this card.

Supplies: Star Student (Pattern paper: Star Student Borders, Geek Chic), Treasures & Text

This card is more like the sketch than the first one, but I swapped out the pennant for the little picture squares. Little enamel dots help finish off the border.

Supplies: Simply Spring (Pattern paper: Spring Patchwork, Simply Spring Daily Details), Treasures & Text; Enamel Dots (Milk White)

Study on | Bella Blvd

I love the new Star Student collection from Bella Blvd. It is the perfect mix of smart and sassy — just what I need for documenting my son's journey. The imagery in the collection is also amazing for cards.

How cute is this Geek Chic pattern paper?! I can think of a dozen ways to use this.

For graduation, a reward for a grade well-earned, or to celebrate a milestone, this collection will make it easy to whip up a fun card.

Supplies: Star Student (Pattern paper: Geek Chic, Star Student Daily Details), Trinkets

Glitter trend | Bella Blvd

Who doesn't love a nice splash of glitter? I know I do! Especially on cards — it adds a little extra effort and makes the recipient feel special and loved.

Some of us on the Bella Blvd creative team are exploring glitter today on the blog. Here are the two cards I made to highlight glitter on cards.

I love the idea of using glitter on only a single part of a larger pattern. For this card, I used gold glitter on a rain cloud to juxtapose the rainy scene with a bright moment. This is a great way to send a smile or hopeful wish to someone who is having a hard time.

Supplies: Simply Spring (Pattern paper: Eggstravaganza, Dancing in the Rain); Color Chaos (Pattern paper: Scallop Strandz)

The starry night scene on this fun pattern paper was just begging for glitter on the stars. It makes them twinkle and gives a subtle little shimmer to the overall card.

Supplies: Camp Out (Pattern paper: Under the Stars, Camp Out Borders), Chipboard Icons, Trinkets; Star Student (Pattern paper: Brainiac); Color Chaos (Pattern paper: Pickle Juice Strandz)

February sketch challenge | Scrapbook Circle

February has run away from me already! Two Fridays ago I shared on the Scrapbook Circle blog this latest sketch challenge. I just got around to working with it myself this past weekend.

Here's the layout that I made using the February "Today is Beautiful" kit and this month's sketch.

As you can see, the kit is great for Valentine's documenting — nice florals, glitter and heart patterns fill this kit.

You can win a Dear Lizzy Serendipity/WeRMemory Keepers prize pack if you play along with us. You have until Feb 24th to join in. Read more about the challenge and share your project here on the Scrapbook Circle blog.

Third grade | Bella Blvd

On the Bella Blvd blog, some us us on the creative team are just starting to dig into all of the amazing goodness. Today I'm sharing more of my favorite pieces from the new collections just debuted at CHA by Bella Blvd.

Here is a layout I made featuring the Star Student collection.

I just love the bold patterns and colors in the Star Student collection for my son's school layouts. The fun glasses and doodles give the page a trendy geek vibe — and I love it!

The Enamel DooDads have been a great addition to the Bella Blvd collections. These black stars are some of my favorites in the collection.

Supplies: Star Student (Pattern paper: Art Journal, Geek Chic) Treasures & Text Stickers, Trinkets; Color Chaos (Pattern paper: Peep Strandz); Enamel DooDads (Oreo Black)

Keep wild | Bella Blvd

Today on the Bella Blvd blog, many of us on the creative team are beginning to share our work with the new collections recently debuted at CHA last month.

These collections are so fun and bright, and I loved working with them.

One of the first things I made was this card using a mix of Color Chaos and Camp Out collections. Color Choas adds some sass to the creatures from the Camp Out collection.

I enjoyed creating the little scene for this inspirational bear. Perfect card for a boy needing his spirits lifted or a boost of confidence.

Supplies: Camp Out (Chipboard Icons); Color Chaos (Pattern paper: Pepper Strandz), Just Write Journaling Stickers
