Baby girl card

A friend of mine is set to have a baby girl any day now, so I whipped up this card for her. I also played along with a few challenges to inspire me.

• The Paper Variety (Tic-Tac-Toe challenge): I choose the card, stitching, and color pink squares.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card. It means a lot to me! :) Hope your weekend is going fabulously.

Fishin' {Sketchy Thursdays}

Hello! Thanks for stopping by to see my latest page for Sketchy Thursdays. I used the August kit from Scrapbook Circle to make it. And, if it isn't yet, the kit will be on sale very soon. Another fabulous one—you don't want to miss out, that's for sure!

This week at Sketchy Thursdays is sponsored by CropStop! Stop on by the ST site to see the sketch I made as well as all the fabulous details about CropStop.

The pictures on this page are from one of the times we made it out onto Papa's boat this summer. Nate definitely does not mind touching the fish. Which is good, since he has a tendency to be mildly OCD about dirty hands. It's good to see he can set that aside and be a boy. I think this was the day he caught 7 fish.

Thanks to those of you who commented on my new Etsy shop items. I'm quite thrilled with how they turned out—and that some of you took advantage of my coupon code (GETTO100) for the 15% off. Enjoy your goodies! They will be shipping on Friday morning if not today. The coupon is still good for those of you ready to make a purchase.

So glad you stopped by, and hope to see you playing along at Sketchy Thursdays this week. Someone has to win the prize, right?! Why not you?! :)

Exciting new items and a card

Very excited to be making some new crafty things again. This is a card I made for:

• The Card Patterns sketch challenge #125. I've had the idea for this card for awhile but never managed to get around to it until I was inspired by this week's sketch.
• Card Makin Mamas Food & Drink, Challenge #25.

Love that background paper? I'll give you a hint that it is in the August kit for Scrapbook Circle. Tomorrow I'll have a page to share that I made with the kit. And I'm pretty sure you're gonna love the rest of what's in the kit.

Next, I have new items in my Etsy shop to share with you. And I am so excited about them!

I am so excited about these new barrettes. They are a larger, more layered version of my Ruffled Blooms offered for scrapbooking. The clip is already attached and these flowers are ready for your hair, purse, necklace ... you name it! Such a fun, flirty accent. And the button center is a vintage pearl button—a fabulous extra touch.

I did it! I made one of the new flowers on my list from Pinterest. Well, new to me. The five-point flower made from circles. Check it out here. I couldn't help but make this one a ponytail holder.

A new twist on my previous Doilie Blooms. Shaped felt and stick pins add more layers and fun to these fabulous scrapbooking accessories.

A new listing for the I Want it All kits, and I threw in some of the handmade fabric brads that I've been making.

Here is a new endeavor for me, too, with fabric covered buttons. There is another set in the shop as well that is plaid. Super soft cotton makes these a fabulous accent to a project in need of buttons.

And that's everything! Whew … thanks so much for stopping by to see my card and the new items. Don't forget there is a coupon code now for the shop. GETTO100 will get you 15% off. And I'll be doing a giveaway, hopefully soon!!

I can make that...

Have you heard of Uglydolls? This past Sunday, Nate and I were in a local bookstore in the village that sells these toys. We had gone to the village just so Nate could ride his bike on the canal path and then have ice cream at the shop next door to the bookstore. I didn't bring enough money to buy one of these dolls even if he had begged me to.

Instead I said, "Nate, I can go home and make one of those. We don't need to buy one." Famous last words. Of course, we had to go straight home, and I had to prove to him that I could make one.

Luckily, I remembered that I had downloaded a pattern not too long ago on Pinterest. Here is that link if you'd like to get the pattern, too.

Nate loves it. He named it Monster, Inc. LOL. Then he made me put Monster, Inc. on TV so he could show his new little Monster where he came from. HAHA!

So, famous last words ... don't say, "I can make that," to a 5 year old unless you can—cuz he'll make sure you do!

Thanks for stopping by today to see my endeavor into sewing felt monsters.

Skipping Stones card

Finally I got some relief last night from the heat and managed to make my way into the scrap room. It was such a great feeling, and I'm hoping for more time tonight to start playing along with my favorite challenges again. Oh, how I've missed it!!

This card is a last minute entry to Skipping Stones for Challenge #85. I used their Uplifting stamp set to make this card.

Thanks for stopping to see my card! :)

Lots of love for Imaginisce

I have been having such a blast coming up with new, fun things to do with fabric and the i-top from Imaginisce. Here are some new items listed in my Etsy shop that I made using the i-top and other Imaginisce accessories for the i-top.

These Muslin Mistables have be my favorite. They are badges (or pins, whichever you want to call them) and can be stamped with fabric ink or misted so you can choose your own color for each of these. Or, use them as the centers for your own handmade fabric flowers as they are for a natural look.

And just a reminder: I'm also doing a giveaway soon! I am 5 sales away from hitting 100 sales in my Etsy shop. Use coupon code GETTO100 for a 15% discount now! And once I hit 100, I'll do a giveaway here on the blog. Thanks to all of you who support my crafty Etsy shop, I really appreciate it!! :)

I also have to continue my love for Imaginisce. I was lucky enough to win one of their pre-CHA giveaways and received the whole Happy Harvey collection. I can't wait until I get some fabulous fall photos taken so I can play with these. Big thanks to them for that!!

Thanks for taking time to stop by and read my blog today. Hope you are having a great Monday!

Sneak peek {Scrapbook Circle}

Here is a sneak peek at the August kit for Scrapbook Circle. And, wow, do I love this kit! Really, really love the summer feel, bright colors and patterns.

As soon as my house cools down from this crazy heat wave, I'm all about using this kit. I have those summertime photos of Nate piling up, and this kit will be perfect!

Good news to those following my heat wave drama: We now have the AC window unit in the bedroom. Hubby finally broke down last night and put it in the bedroom window! YAY! We've had the unit forever, but never needed it in the new house until this heat wave most of us are experiencing. Now if only I had one for the scrapbook room. :)

Make sure to swing by Scrapbook Circle and pick up one of these kits when they are available. If you have summer photos, you'll want this one!

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!

Butterflies are forever

Here's a fabulous little card I made. It goes with the following challenges:

• Card Makin Mamas: Summertime challenge (Nothing says summer quite like butterflies.)
• Cardabilities: Sketch #35 (I flipped the sketch a bit to the other side of the card.)

Thanks for stopping to see my card today! It's been so hot here that I can barely stand to be in my scrap room (which is not air conditioned) for very long—just long enough to make a card. Get in. Get creative. Get out. :)

Have nice a day!!

Win a Scrapbook Circle kit

Hello there, peeps! I hope you had great weekend. We had a really, really hot one here. NY is not used to the 90s that we're going to be getting for more than a week, and there isn't much relief on it's way, either. All I can say is thank goodness for AC at work and the pool at home.

Today I'm sharing a page I made using a sketch from the Sketch Inspiration site. Scrapbook Circle is sponsoring the giveaway this week, so you have a chance to win a Blast Off! July kit all for your very own.

I do hope you'll play along with us. Thanks to the Sketch Inspiration ladies for welcoming the Scrapbook Circle team with open arms!

Stay cool this week! And thanks for stopping by to see my page today.

Cool hat {Sketchy Thursdays}

Hello there! Heidi has made a fabulous sketch for us at Sketchy Thursdays this week. And this is the page that I made that goes with that sketch.

The picture is one of those quick random shots I snapped of my son one afternoon. He was wearing his pajamas for Pajamarama at the library, carrying the dolphin for his stuffed animal for the evening, and then had on this hat (that my mom sent him for his birthday). He looked so mismatched, I just had to snap some pictures.

I ended up getting this great one from the side. He looks so much older here—growing up way too fast.

I used the July kit from The Sampler to make my page. Such a fun, unique kit full of fun little extras. I hope the kit is posted for you to see now, if not, it will be soon.

Hope to see you playing along at Sketchy Thursdays. We have a great prize from Paper Lovelies. Their current kit is awesome—check it out! (And don't forget about the monthly GDT challenge, too. One lucky winner will get to join the Sketchy Thursdays team in August!)

Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate it and hope you all are having a fabulous week.
