Precious Remembrance Shop {Father's Day}

Today I am sharing my last Design Team project for Precious Remembrance Shop. I have loved working with Dyane and her stamp sets for these last two months and must admit that I am sad. I know that I will grab for these stamps long after my term is over. In fact, I have used the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sentiment over and over again already on more than my DT projects. I just love the font!

This is a gift card holder pillow box for Father's Day. I don't know about you, but for me, gift cards are great for the guys. They always know what they want and are ready to go buy it, aren't they?!

I used the Birthday Stamp set as well as the Echo Park new Family Man set. With so many manly layouts, I knew I had to have this collection.

Father's Day is right around the corner! I hope I've inspired you to think of a creative way to gift the men in your life to help mark the day for them. Thanks for stopping by to see my project today.

Imaginisce {magni-jewelry}

This week the Imaginisce girls have been showing you examples of what you can do with the magni-jewelry collection.

I made this necklace using a medium and a large magnet daddy with the necklace and using the i-top. The pattern is fabric (I just love those hearts!).

In thinking how I was going to display this, I ended up making a present out of the display, too. Using paper and die cuts from Hello Cupcake and some bling love with the i-rock, this little pink frame became more than a display but a gift in itself.

Make sure to stop by the Imaginisce blog to see what all of the other ladies made. Such creativity over there! I am honored to be among them.

The Scrapbook Circle Field Notes kit is ready for you to purchase! I LOVE this one!! Especially with Father's Day and so many great moments I've found lately that seem to have the perfect picture for this kit. Chock full of Echo Park's This & That collection, the Field Notes kit will not disappoint!

Manly congrats {card}

Do you have a super star man in your life that needs a "way to go" congrats for a job well done? Here's a simple card idea for a guy. Chevron is such a neutral pattern and when used to woodgrain it is so trendy.

Gotta love the little Studio Calico wood cameras. I am already hoarding these and I have so many of them. I need them to last forever. :)

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today. Have a fabulous week!

Best Game Ever

Nothing says summer quite like baseball. And on Memorial Day weekend here in the states, I am really looking forward to the summer days at the ballpark. It's the kick-off to a fantastic few months.

I made this layout using the pictures from one of Nate's first games. I didn't bring my camera to the ball field until it was sunny and they were playing a game, not just practicing. I couldn't have planned it any better, and I got some fantastic shots.

I used the Echo Park Baseball Grand Slam collection and also my new Silhouette Cameo with that ball and flame. I couldn't help myself with that graphic — just love it!

Thanks for stopping by to see my baseball page. I have been so excited to scrap these pictures — pretty much as soon as I took them. Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Cocoa Daisy {June kit}

I am in love with the June kit from Cocoa Daisy called Hello Sunshine! I have spent the better part of the last week working with the kit, and I can't get over how rich and colorful the kit is. It reminds me of a quilt.

The above picture is a sneak of the monthly kit and below is a pic from the second of many add-on kits, Wide Brim. I scooped this one up and love it.

And here is a sneak at the stamps. Between the quilt-like feel and the little houses, all I could think with each project was home sweet home.

Can't wait to share all of this Cocoa Daisy goodness with you. Make sure to follow the blog as all of the DT ladies start to share their work using the kit.

Precious Remembrance {door hanger}

Hello! Here is my project this week for the Precious Remembrance Shop. I used both the Birthday and Calendar stamp sets for this one.

I had gotten the idea from Rhonda at Imaginisce with her project for the Hello Cupcake reveal. When I saw what she made, I knew I was going to have to mark Nate's birthday with something special for his room.

I surprised him with it a few days before his party and he was excited to be reminded that his birthday was only a day or two away. It's been a great way to keep the festivities going.

Thanks for stopping to see my project. Do you have any Precious Remembrance Shop stamps yet? Follow them on Facebook and keep an eye out for deals and specials.

Teacher Appreciation Week {imaginisce}

It is Teacher Appreciation Week at Imaginisce. I hope you've been by there this week to see all of the creativity and fabulous ideas the design team girls came up with.

I made a gift card holder and also wrapped up a Hershey's bar to make it pretty. (Sidebar: This was hubs' candy bar. He was quite appalled that I "scrapped" his candy bar when he couldn't find it. It was a pretty funny conversation when I told him why I had taken it. lol)

Here is a simple idea for a gift card holder if you don't have a die cut machine that can cut one for you. Take apart an existing gift card holder at the seams and trace it onto paper you want to use. Then, using scissors or your trimmer, cut out the pattern you made.

That's how I made this. I traced the pattern for an Ann Taylor LOFT gift card holder. It had multiple folds and allowed for more creative space to write a message and decorate the front.

If you missed the Hello Cupcake reveal at Imaginisce, the papers I used for this set are from Hello Cupcake. Fabulous line for celebrations, isn't it?!

Thanks for stopping by to see my teacher gift idea. Hope you are having a great week!

Wedding wishes {card}

I have a fabulously simple wedding card for you today.

I love the Dear Lizzy chipboard pieces. This little polaroid is in that set and the background paper is also Dear Lizzy from the 6x6 paper pad.

Thanks for stopping to see my card. :)

Happiest of birthdays to my boy!

Happy Birthday to Nate! He turns six today. I can't believe he's six already—it happened way too fast!

I made this page using the Hello Cupcake collection from Imaginisce. Seriously, the best birthday collection ever. Just sayin'!

This past weekend we celebrated with dinner, cake and presents. Here are a few of the highlights from his weekend. We got him a bike, I made him a baseball cake, and he had the pleasure of having the crew at Quaker Steak and Lube sing to him on his birthday for the first time. That was funny to watch his face. He had no idea that could happen.

(He's wearing his Imaginisce Hello Cupcake badge!)

I'm excited to go into his classroom today and share in a little celebration with his friends. He's been waiting patiently all school year as each friend had a birthday and his was still to come. Now, it's his turn and he's so excited.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout and help celebrate Nate's birthday today.

Embossing on cards

I love the look of dry embossing on cards, but don't always remember to use this technique. Here are two neutral newborn cards I made. Both use embossing folders, the same sentiment stamp and a simple embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by to see my cards! I have been creating up a storm lately. Feels good to make so many pretty things.

Star Wars

Hello! Today I am sharing with you the layout I made using Ashley's May sketch at Club CK. I wasn't able to work in the stitching prompt and I used one less picture to account for the narrower 8.5x11 format I used, but I swear it was for the challenge (lol).

In Rochester, there is a great kids museum called The Strong National Museum of Play. A few weeks ago they had a Star Wars weekend and we went to meet the characters. Of course, I went for the pictures — the boys for the experience.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout. Hope you all are having a great day!

Precious Remembrance {card}

Let's continue my love for the new Imaginisce Hello Cupcake! collection by pairing it with the Precious Remembrance Birthday stamp set. These two lines were made for each other!

The balloon and papers are from Imaginisce and the sentiments are all a part of the Birthday stamp set. I added a little bit of twine from The Twinery for some extra motion on the balloon strings.

I'm super excited about all of this birthday fun because my little man turn 6 next Tuesday. We'll be celebrating all weekend long, and I can't wait for the festivities. Birthdays at our house are low key and simple, but still fun nonetheless. Cake, presents, family — couldn't ask for a better combination!

Hope you are having a great week, and thanks for stopping by to see this week's Precious Remembrance project.

Graffiti Bridge {cocoa daisy}

Where has May gone? I can't believe I haven't shared my work using the Cocoa Daisy May Kit, Graffiti Bridge, yet. We had the Spring Crop a few weekends ago and we were super busy making all of these wonderful samples and challenges for you — now I can share that with you!

This layout was for the Let's Get Inky challenge. I loved playing around with the mask that was in the kit and some inks. So fun!

This card was for a sketch challenge. As you know, I love my clouds!

This page wasn't for any particular challenge at the crop, I just made it using what I had left on my desk after I made the other projects. Occasionally, I love how a boy page looks after you throw pink into the mix.

So there ya go! Some of my lovely Cocoa Daisy May projects. Thanks for stopping by to see my work.

The Paper Variety {sketch challenge}

I am so excited to be a guest over on The Paper Variety today. This is the sketch that I made for the peeps over at The Paper Variety to play along with.

I have to admit that I love TPV. I play over there any time I get a chance, and love the company and challenges over there. If you haven't stop by yet, I'd give 'em a chance. Why not start with this sketch challenge?! :)

I made my page for this challenge using the Scrapbook Circle kit: The Story. I can't get enough of this kit! All of the little stickers and clouds — sigh, love it!

When you get a chance, swing by The Paper Variety and join us. I hope to see you there!

Hello Cupcake! {imaginisce}

Hello, Cupcake! (hee hee) I love this new collection from Imaginisce. Really, really love it! To me, it seems like so many birthday lines trend towards a girl's layout once you add in the desserts and crowns and sparkles of a birthday party. Hello Cupcake is amazingly neutral and such a fantastic collection overall. Yep — I'm gushing!

Nate turns 6 this month! I just had to snag a few posed pictures of him, and the Hello Cupcake collection was the perfect excuse to scrap them early. He was so good about posing for these.

Here's a card I made. In fact, I made many cards already using Hello Cupcake. It was difficult to stop creating!

And, if you remember from last year, Nate has been known to wear a badge on his birthday. Of course, I had to keep that tradition alive. Here is this year's birthday badge for the little man.

Thanks for stopping by to see my creations using the latest collection from Imaginisce. I have to say, it's one of my favorites for sure! Stop by the blog all week for more inspiration.

Insta-fun

Hello! Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there stopping by. Today I am sharing with you a page I made using the sketch challenge at Artful Delight. With my new HP printer, it was really easy to set up my Instagram pictures onto a 4x6 and then cut them out as 2x2 pics.

I used scraps and whatever stickers I had laying around to make the page. If I keep using Instagram (now that they have the Android app), I hope to be able to do one of these each month. We'll see... :)

Have a great Sunday, and thanks for stopping by to see my layout today.
