Newborn card {and a coupon}

Just sharing with you a card I made for a baby-on-the-way. My friend Theresa will be shipping this one off to a lucky mom-to-be. I love the yellow and aqua combo, and it just seems to work so well for babies. That background paper is from the MME Be Amazing 6x6 pad.

Speaking of the new My Mind's Eye collections … I also wanted to let you know that I have a super cool discount code for my blog readers.

Play ball

Who else is in the mood for spring? I'm a huge baseball fan (especially the NY Yankees) and in watching all of the spring training news, I'm just itchin' to get back to the ballpark!

Nate is already signed up for T-ball this spring, and I have the brochure for the Rochester Red Wings on the kitchen counter. We are ready! Play ball!

I had made this layout in hopes that it might get picked up for a springtime pub, but no news, I'm guessing, means it's good to show here, eh?! The product is a mix of bright, fun papers and embellies I had been squirreling away from mostly Scrapbook Circle kits.

Thanks for stopping by to see my page. Time to start looking forward to warmer weather as March is right around the corner.

The Best.Day.Ever. March kit for Scrapbook Circle is in the store and ready for you to scoop it up. I love the colors in this, and do I spy woodgrain?! Yay! Brands included in this kit are Bazzill,
My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline, Jillibean Soup, Lily Bee, Dear Lizzy Neapolitan.

Love a great add-on kit? The Scatter Sunshine add-on kit as well as a card stock add-on kit are ready as well.

If you are in the market for some new, fun scrappy stuff, I recommend jumping on this one right away. February sold out fast!

And, of course, I'll be back to show you what I made with the kit soon enough! Thanks for stopping by to see what Scrapbook Circle is up to for March.

Engagement {card}

The Paper Variety is hosting a challenge that I played along with this weekend. The inspiration is the movie poster from "Leap Year." I just LOVE that movie! I chose the "engagement" angle for my card for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card. I really love the clean and simple design of this. As much as I love layering, I have come to appreciate the simple designs as well.

Hope your weekend was a great one!

Miracles {card}

Hi! Just dropping in to share a birthday card with you. I used the current Mojo Monday #229 sketch for my inspiration. I have been pinning their sketches and was glad to be able to play along this week.

And I just have to share this, too. My Snow Day layout made the Featured Layout for 2Peas on the Scrapbooking page. I have never had a layout featured, so I was incredibly excited when I got a tweet from a dear friend that it was featured.

Had to share the excitement with you all! And a big thanks to PageMaps for the sketch for the page. It forced me to go simple with my page and the end result was something I love.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card and good news. I hope you have a great weekend planned! Hopefully some scrappy / crafty time carved out, of course. I plan on playing with lots of Imaginisce goodies all weekend — lots coming up for you in March!!

Best friends {card}

Imaginisce is sharing cards today over on the blog. I made this card using the purse stamp from the Sole Sisters collection. The background paper was created using the purse stamp to make a pattern, and then the center-focus card is stamped separately, colored with Copics, and popped up with foam dots.

The yellow frame is from the Sole Sisters chipboard collection, and the best friends sentiment is from the stickers pack.

Next time you make a card, try using your stamps to make a pattern. Such a bright, fun way to send a smile to your bestie, right?!

Thanks for stopping by! Head on over to the Imaginisce blog to see what the other ladies made for the cards day reveal.

Snow day {finally!}

For some crazy reason, Upstate New York hasn't gotten much snow this season. Hardly a snowflake has dropped, and the minute it does accumulate, it melts in a heat wave that will inevitably follow.

I'm most certainly not complaining, but I was starting to panic that I was going to go the whole season without any pictures of Nate playing in the snow.

Thank goodness a couple of weekends ago we got some snow. It was enough to have to shovel the driveway — so out the door Nate and I went to have some fun. I pulled him in his little sled, and he "helped" me shovel (LOL). It was a fun afternoon.

For my page, I used a sketch from PageMaps and also more of the February kit from Scrapbook Circle.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout. I really like how it turned out — simple and clean.

Birthday wishes {card}

Hi there! I hope you're having a fantastic week so far. It is winter break week here, so I was lucky enough to have some time off from work to be with Nate. And, of course, we took a chance to get crafty.

I made this card using the Scrapbook Circle Be Amazing Add-On Kit for February. It has the 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye. For making cards, there is nothing better than a great pad of 6x6 paper!

I also used the Frosted Designs Card Sketch #12. I wasn't so sure about this sketch at first, but in the end, I really liked the way the card turned out. I think I may have to use it again.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card!

Make a wish {card}

More love for Papertrey Ink stamps here on this card. I think a little girl would just love to get this card, don't you?! And the music notes paper is from Sassafras Lass that I have been hoarding.

Thanks for stopping to see my card! It is sort of a horizontal version of Sketch #152 at Card Patterns. Swing on by and play along if you can.

Imaginisce and Scrapbook Adhesives

This week Imaginisce is partnering with 3L Scrapbook Adhesives to bring you co-branded projects. I have to admit that I hadn't used most of the Scrapbook Adhesives products before, and now I love them!

For this project I used:
• 1 Wooden block
• Sole Sisters Sole Mates 12x12 paper
• Happy Harvest Die Cut cardstock pieces
• Happy Harvest Canvas stickers
• Imaginisce Roly Rosies
• Imaginisce Petal Roller
• Scrapbook Adhesives 81' Crafty Power Tape, E-Z squares, Thin 3D foam squares,
• White self-adhesive photo corners
• Alpha stickers

This idea for this sign is that you would hang it in a baby's room, or even on the door knob if you wanted to use it for a "baby sleeping" sign. For someone doing a woodland animals theme, how perfect would this be?!

I hope you'll have a free moment to stop by the Imaginisce and 3L blogs this week to see what we've all been up to. I've seen some of the Imaginisce girls' work and wow, it is amazing what those girls can do with just paper and adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by — I really appreciate it!

Happy Valentine's Day! {early}

Hi there! Today I am sharing my Valentine's Day post since tomorrow I'll be bringing you the fabulousness of the Scrapbook Adhesives and Imaginisce partnership blog hop.

In the picture above is the cutest little man and his handmade Valentine's Day shirt. I used my Slice Fabrique to make this T-shirt with a necktie. I didn't like the choices for boys for Valentine's Day shirts, so when you have the option, you just make it yourself!

Here is a Valentine's Day card I whipped up, too. I used the foxy Imaginisce stamp from the Happy Harvest line. Sending it out to all of you, my readers, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! May your day be filled with love and appreciation from those around you.

Oh, and I also have a winner to announce from my Ruffled Blooms giveaway. The winner is #1: Heather! Heather, I know you have my address, so send me a note with your mailing address and what kind of Ruffled Blooms you'd like!

Thanks for stopping by to see my blog today! I'll see you back here tomorrow for the Imaginisce hop with 3L.

Thank you {card}

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you may know that I absolutely love the product that Papertrey Ink puts out. With my last order, I received this amazing "THANKS" stamp as a free gift. I hadn't been expecting it and I loved it the moment I got it.

It might be hard to see in the picture, but I also heat embossed the sentiment using pink embossing powder. With the orange ink under it, it gives the stamped image a two-tone look. This card is one of my favorites.

I used the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger for my inspiration The pinks and browns are obvious inspiration and the background pattern mimics the texture of the pleating in the little baking cups.

Thanks for stopping to see my card!

Home run {boy card}

I've been working on lots of cards lately. Here's one I whipped up for a male birthday. Thanks for stopping by to see my card today. Hope your weekend has been a great one!

happy birthday {scrapbook circle}

Hi there! Here is some more love for the Remember This kit from Scrapbook Circle. Sigh … I absolutely love this kit. I didn't do anything with it for days after I got it mailed to me. I sat and stared at it, loving every single piece and plotting my ideas.

Once I started to work with it, I couldn't stop. I made 2 layouts and this card in one night. And if my husband hadn't come home from work, I would have kept right on going.

Thanks for stopping to see my card. I really appreciate it!

Monster Jam {scrapbook circle}

Oh yes, this wood background paper from October Afternoon is amazing! I need 10 more sheets just like it. Maybe just to make a mini album so that all of my pages don't start to look like I live in the Wild West. :)

This paper, and so much else, is available in the Remember This kit from Scrapbook Circle. And how cute are those mini chevron bags?! Such a perfect way to tuck away some journaling in a super stylish way.

I made my page using the sketch inspiration at Artful Delight. Check out the sketch and play along over at the blog. Lots to see over there!

Taking Nate to Monster Trucks this past January was so fun. He is old enough now to really get into it and root for his favorite drivers and cheer along — it was such a great night out for our little family. I managed to get some great pictures even in the dimly lit arena, so that made me happy.

Nate is so excited to have this layout finished. It's currently hanging in my craft room (one that he shares with me for his craft area, too) and he keeps looking at the page talking about that night. A great bonus to making these pages — you get to re-live the moments!

Thanks for stopping to see my layout!

Wreath wrap-up

You may remember my post from a week ago where I asked for help on whether or not to add more color to my muslin wreath. Overwhelmingly you all agreed that it needed just a bit more color to it. I was all for that!

I want to give a huge thanks to Sara Zenger for the idea to use pins to add to it so that I can always change out the colors on the wreath to match the seasons. Brilliant idea, my dear!! :)

I love the color combo teal with red, so I went with that for my Valentine's Day theme. The hearts are cut from a Papertrey Ink die and the buttons are also Papertrey Ink. The little tag and brads are from the new My Mind's Eye that was in the add-on kit from Scrapbook Circle for February.

I have the wreath hanging in the front entrance area of my house on the wall by the rest of my Valentine's Day goodies, and it works perfectly!

Thanks for all the advice before, I really appreciated it. And thanks for stopping by to see my finished wreath for Valentine's Day!

Love week {imaginisce}

Imaginisce is celebrating a week of LOVE! Today we are sharing layous for love. I made my page using the Sole Sisters line, rolled paper flowers and re-purposing the red packaging that most of the Sole Sisters sticker collections come in.

I used a circle punch to make the indent in the background paper and then made sure that I didn't have any adhesive around the opening. After I made my tag out of the red packaging, I put a sentiment on it, punched a heart in it, and slid it into place on the layout.

I used more red packaging for the hearts. And I have to say that I am in love with the imaginisce petal roller tool. Making these flowers is so much easier using that tool. I'll never roll another flower without it!

I hope I've put ya in the mood for love! :) Check out what the rest of the imaginisce team is working on for this week. Head on over to the blog for inspiration. And thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Lost teeth {scrapbook circle}

Hello! I am so excited to share this layout with you today. I took these pictures of Nate a few weeks back and was waiting for the perfect papers to make my page. And wow, did the perfect papers ever land themselves on my door step!

The February kit for Scrapbook Circle, Remember This, is amazing. The DT can't stop talking about how many pages we are making and how much we love everything that is in the kit. New papers and embellishments from My Mind's Eye are what I used on this page. I also used a lot of what is in the Add-On Kit, Be Amazing (which is already sold out).

I was inspired by the current sketch challenge at The Paper Variety. You can see the sketch and play along over there before 2/13.

Have you ever tried to take a picture of a 5 year old, asking him to smile just right so that you can focus on his missing teeth? Geesh — that was a tough one! He lost both of his front lower middle teeth while chewing on something. First was on cantaloupe while he was at his after school program. He swallowed the tooth and his teacher there had to calm him down and help him write a note to the tooth fairy.

The second one, he was eating an apple at home while his grandparents were over. He spit out what he was chewing on into his Papa's hand. Thank goodness for Papa, he found that tooth among all the little apple pieces.

Thanks for stopping to see my layout for today! I hope you have a chance to grab one of the Remember This kits. It is AMAZING!! I love all of the teal, yellow and grey in this kit. It's perfection!

Next week Imaginisce is having a week of LOVE projects. The DT has cooked up some fun ideas to get you in the mood for Valentine's Day.

And here is my sneak peek for next week's reveal. I am so in awe of the Imaginisce Petal Roller. It makes it so easy to create these flowers. Nearly effortless!

While you are waiting for the Imaginisce team to wow you with their love-themed projects next week, you can play along with the sketch I made for the February challenge.

Win an i-magicut Ribbon Cutter! See the challenge details HERE.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, and have a fabulous Friday!

ScrapFIT {blank canvas}

ScrapFIT wants to see what you can do when you start with a white background — a blank canvas. I start with a white background very often. I would guess 75% of the time I start with white, cream or kraft for my background. But this time the difference was that I wasn't also starting with a kit or a collection — I was just starting with the white paper and the photo.

It turns out that without also working with a specific kit or company in mind, that I actually used my stash. I'm so happy with how this turned out, too. I used a lot of pieces that I was hanging onto or didn't know what to do with it, but loved (like the mustache paper from Hambly).

This layout is a continuation of the mustache story from yesterday. Nate loved putting the mustache on everything, including his Angry Bird, which was hysterical to him. When have you ever seen an Angry Bird with a mustache?! LOL.

I hope you'll have a chance to play along with us at ScrapFIT. I think you'll find that starting with a white background can give you a fresh perspective.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout!
