Retreat Pages | Some Favorites

At the My Scraps and More Retreat last weekend I made six layouts, a few PL spreads and many cards. Some of my favorites I can't share here because they have pictures of other people's kids in them (baseball pictures), but here are two layouts I loved how they turned out and I can post here.

I set out to make this layout thinking it would eat up a chunk of time on my Saturday afternoon. Much to my surprise, the Cameo makes this cutting so easy that I was done with it before I knew it. I love how it turned out, and it is possibly the most cut-intensive page I have done in a long time.

I always seem to make a layout with a woodgrain background every time I get together with Audrey! So here is said layout.

Such a fun summertime page. I loved mixing and matching multiple summertime collections on this one.

Thanks for stopping by today! It was great to have a dedicated weekend for my crafty friends — hope to have another one sooner rather than later.

Scrapbook Circle | Oct Sketch Challenge

Better late than never! Last Friday I shared the latest sketch on the Scrapbook Circle blog, and then I had a chance to work with the sketch myself over the weekend while I was at the My Scraps and More Retreat in Syracuse.

I used the Oct. Mix Tape kit for my page.

The newest addition to my fam is Mr. Macaroni & Cheese, aka Mack, aka Mr. Waggy Bottom. He is the best pup and I could not be any happier than when he wiggles his tail and looks up at me.

The Pretty Little Studio Word Cut Out Strips were perfect for capturing such a day-to-day moment. So were the Pink Paislee Memorandum Gold Foil Stickers.

If you would like to play along, the details are on the Scrapbook Circle blog here. Thanks for visiting to see my Mr. Mack page.

World Card Making Day | 2015

I had a great 3 days with Audrey Yeager and her My Scraps and More Retreat in Syracuse, NY this past weekend. Saturday was also World Card Making Day, so of course I managed to fit in a few cards along with the layouts I made over the course of the long weekend.

I wanted to share them quickly while we are all in the mood to celebrate the art of making cards.

Often I like to make simple cards on white and leave off the sentiments until I mail the card, that way I can personalize the card. But even without the sentiments, these cards are fun to see.

I wanted to note that I used the WRMK Fuse Tool and a 3x4 Project Life sleeve to make the shaker part of my card.

Happy World Card Making Day (Weekend)!

Here are links to some of the products I used in case you were looking for them: Tim Holtz Bird Crazy Dies and Stamps,  Tim Holtz Crazy Things Stamps, Tim Holtz Freshly Brewed. All of my coloring was done with Copics.
