Retreat Pages | Some Favorites

At the My Scraps and More Retreat last weekend I made six layouts, a few PL spreads and many cards. Some of my favorites I can't share here because they have pictures of other people's kids in them (baseball pictures), but here are two layouts I loved how they turned out and I can post here.

I set out to make this layout thinking it would eat up a chunk of time on my Saturday afternoon. Much to my surprise, the Cameo makes this cutting so easy that I was done with it before I knew it. I love how it turned out, and it is possibly the most cut-intensive page I have done in a long time.

I always seem to make a layout with a woodgrain background every time I get together with Audrey! So here is said layout.

Such a fun summertime page. I loved mixing and matching multiple summertime collections on this one.

Thanks for stopping by today! It was great to have a dedicated weekend for my crafty friends — hope to have another one sooner rather than later.

My Scraps and More {sketch challenge}

Today I am a guest sketch artist for the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog. Thanks, Audrey, for inviting me to lend a hand this month!

This is the sketch that I made, and below is the layout sample to inspire you to play along.

I also did a fun little Q&A over on the My Scraps & More site, so check that out, too.

Many of these great supplies can be found on the My Scraps & More shop, like the Elle's Studio - Good Cheer Joy and Peace and Elle's Studio - Good Cheer Star of Wonder

I also used my Scrapbook Circle We Are Made of Stories December kit.

Thanks for stopping by here today to see my layout and guest spot with My Scraps & More. Make sure to stop by their blog and play along with the sketch.

Paper Crafter's Library | Featured

Today you can find a little feature about me at the Paper Crafter's Library. I am thrilled to be sharing two cards over there, along with some tips for how I make my cards.

I used the Hello Sunshine collection from Lawn Fawn. Scoot on over to the site to see both cards and read my tips.

Supplies: You can find your Hello Sunshine supplies the same place I did — My Scraps and More.

S.I. Fan

As I mentioned yesterday, I was quite excited to spend a weekend with Audrey, Heather and Sara. While I was there (at the home-base for the My Scraps and More online store at Audrey's), I shopped a bit for boy layouts. I love the Echo Park That's My Boy collection and just had to scoop some up.

This layout is a lot busier than what I usually make, but it was nice to make a 8.5" x 11" layout again (I haven't done that in a long time).

I love the primary colors in this collection. They all go so well together, too, even when you throw in the brown and busy patterns.

I made this page to document when my Dad sent over all of his Sports Illustrated magazines from 2013 for my son. Nate was so excited and immediately started sorting them into which sport was on the cover. All of the baseball ones got special attention (of course!), as did the one with Ohio State football (because that his Grandpa's favorite team). It was a nice moment…

Thanks for stopping here today! If you are in the mood for some Echo Park, stop by the My Scraps and More shop online.

220 minutes

I spent a very fun weekend earlier this month with Audrey, Heather and Sara at Audrey's house. Now, if you don't already know this, Audrey owns the My Scraps and More online store. I had previously ordered most of these October Afternoon goodies from her, but I made sure to bring them along for our girls weekend. I knew I was going to have some time to make some things just for fun.

The October Afternoon All Boy and Daily Flash-Snapshots collections are two of my favorites right now. I am still stalking OA for their Treasure Map release, but until then, these fun papers and boy theme will get me by.

I love using the word bubbles. I journal way more when I have small little spaces to write in instead of a larger open area. For this journaling, I was listing what the boy read to achieve his 220 minutes of reading to earn the gold medal at school.

Thanks for stopping here today. If you feel like shopping, stop by the My Scraps and More shop. I know she just released the newest Jillibean Soup for sale.
