Sketch challenge {imaginisce}

It's June 1st, and I'm here today with a new sketch challenge page from Imaginisce. Using the sketch and Imaginisce product, we also want to see:
1. Fathers
2. The color brown
3. A recycled material

My recycled material is a piece from a wreath that I'm currently not using. I broke it off and used it like a stick to make a 3-D piece of foliage for my layout. I used Helmar's glue to adhere the leaves cut from the Cameo. You really need a good sticky craft glue to get the paper to adhere to the stick/twig.

Here is the sketch you can use this month. As you can see, I opted for one large picture instead of 3 smaller ones. As long as it resembles the sketch, feel free to edit as you see fit. Make sure to link back up to the Imaginisce blog for your chance to win this month!

Thanks for stopping to see my layout today!

Project Life {part 9}

I'm still plugging away at my son's first grade project life 6x8 album from Simple Stories. He's almost done with school — less than a month to go — and then it'll be all done! It's jam packed and I'm not so sure I'll be able to fit anything else in it anyways.

I used a lot of Echo Park's All About A Boy stickers and paper for these pages.

He turned 7, so I had to put that in the album. He also go an art recognition from the school district as part of a larger K-12 evening and exhibit for the kids. I snapped a picture of his painting during the exhibit and then printed it out to be able to include it in the album.

He also rode his first zip line at a local festival. Nate was so proud of that, so I wanted to make sure it got included.

It is kind of sad that my first PL album is coming to a close. I can't wait for second grade to start up the next one!

First Avenue {scrapbook circle}

The Scrapbook Circle June kit is nearly ready! It's called First Avenue and highlights some of the best in new patterns and colors, including Hipster from Basic Grey.

There is also a canvas ribbon in the kit, which I just loved using for added texture to my layers. I also had the add-on kit, so take a peek at that for more coordinating pieces.

These pictures are from my son's fabulous birthday weekend. We spent the whole weekend celebrating since his actual birthday was on a Wednesday. On this Saturday we did mini golf, batting cages and games at Adventure Landing.

I love this kit for all the manly photo ops I have going on lately. It's a great one — scoop it up soon at Scrapbook Circle!

Croppin' friends

Hello! I had some time this past weekend to make a page using some of my favorite items I had laying around my scrappy space. Even though I scrap mainly for a boy, I still order some of the more girly items that I love when they are released.

I love the Glitz Unchartered Waters collection, the new Maggie Holmes collection from Crate Paper and the Fancy Pants buttons and little bags. I also jumped on those wood veneer clouds from Freckled Fawn and the anchors from Studio Calico.

This picture was taken at a crop I went to not too long ago for a Relay For Life fundraiser. Kate Vickers came on over from Canada, Lisa Swift lives in the area and Audrey Yeager came from neighboring Syracuse. It was so fun to hang with these ladies for the day. My friend Renee was there, too, but managed to duck the photos.

I liberated the sequins from the pocket that comes in the Maggie Holmes collection and sprinkled them around the page. Wow — these little stinkers get away from you fast and I'm sure there are more in the carpet than I want to admit.

Thanks for stopping by here today. Love how this turned out and I was happy to share it here today. Enjoy your week!

Circles, tags and digital files {lily bee}

Today I'm sharing this layout over on the Lily Bee blog. It is a week for the Circles & Tags sticker sheets, and I'm concentrating on using digital cut files on layouts, as well.

I have to admit I love the Circles & Tags sticker sheets. They are one of my favorite products from Lily Bee and so versatile. The sheet I used is from the Pinwheel Collection.

I used the Lily Bee Banners Studio file for the pennants. I also made the "BOY" title on my Cameo.

Stop on by the Lily Bee blog to read more about my page and check out the free download. Thanks for stopping by here today!

More Outdoor Adventure {imaginisce}

Hi again! I'm back today with a few more samples of work with the Outdoor Adventure collection from Imaginisce. I made these projects for the winter CHA reveal and catalog.

Having a boy to scrapbook for, this collection is a dream come true. Nate is always outside getting into something, so I know I'll be dipping back into this collection a lot.

I thought this door knob hanger was a cute idea. Maybe for the camper door when you aren't at the camp site to let fellow campers know you'll be right back.

I also whipped up a cute card — I wanted to color the campfire stamp with my Copics.
Thanks for taking a peek at what I had made for the Outdoor Adventure CHA release this past winter. There was plenty of Outdoor love on the Imaginisce blog this week, so stop over there to see even more inspiration with this collection.

Happy Friday!

Outdoor Adventure {imaginisce}

Imaginisce is sharing the new release of Outdoor Adventure this week, and I love it! As mom to a boy and wife to a guy who wears cammo (lol), I saw a lot of potential in this collection. The sticker stackers are fun and the papers are outdoorsy but also great for manly pages all year round.

This picture is from a training day my hubs had earlier in May. He is very lucky to have the opportunity for additional training through his job and gets to engage in some really interesting things. Nate and I rarely get to see what hubs does while he's at work, so pictures like this are great to document. It's like a glimpse into what he does when he's not at home.

Nate's 7th birthday was yesterday, so I made this card for him. He loves ATVs, like most little boys do, so he thought this card was too cool. The die cuts in the Outdoor Adventure collection are great, and I can see that I'll get a lot of use out of them.

I hope you like what we've been sharing on the Imaginisce blog this week. With summer right around the corner, I'm sure there will be a lot of opportunities to use this collection.

I worked with Outdoor Adventure for the winter CHA, so I'm going to swing back here tomorrow and share images of that work with you all. I really liked what I had made for the CHA display and catalog.

Thanks for stopping by here today!

Happy 7th Birthday!

I can't let today go by without wishing my little man a very happy 7th birthday.

He's such a good sport and let me snap a few pictures of him this past weekend. I know it'll be way too soon before he's tired of having my camera in his face. I have to grab it while I can!
