This is Christmas {card}

Stopping in today as we get closer to the holiday to share a Christmas card with you. I used a Pink Paislee tag, Bazzill leaves and Ormolu No. 25 on this card. Lots of layers for a warm and cozy holiday card.

Are you getting excited for the holiday? I am!

December Daily {part 6}

Hi! Stopping in to share some more of the December Daily. This was Dec. 12th and 14th. On the 12th we had a holiday party to go to for hubs' work. We had on our fancy shoes. No dancing, but still it isn't often that we get dressed up and go out without the little man in tow.

There are some No. 25 Ormolu tags on this first page. I love the sentiments in that collection and the bright but traditional colors.

On the 14th Nate came home with his handmade gifts for us that they made in school. He absolutely could not wait to give them to us. He went straight upstairs to the craft room and wrapped them and then immediately made us open them.

On the 14th, when Connecticut experienced such tragedy, I had come home from work with a hole in my heart and an ache that lasted for days and days. I still feel it. I was so grateful for his handmade ornament and card — too many parents did not get these gifts this season.

I'm happy to have the daily to mark such simple occasions that I never want to forget. Thanks for stopping to see the progress I am making in my daily.

Holiday decor {imaginisce}

Hi! Dropping in today to share with you a holiday decor project I made for Imaginisce. I bought a plain wood sled ornament at Hobby Lobby and decorated it with the Christmas Cheer collection, some Mod Podge and bling with the i-rock.

I love how it turned out, and it's made a great addition to our Christmas tree. Sometimes I forget how easy it can be to make exactly what you want using the pain wood pieces at your local craft store.

Thanks for stopping in today. Check out Imaginisce to see what the rest of the ladies on the DT made this week for holiday home decor.

December Daily {part 5}

The Elf on the Shelf showed up! I had waited until Nate was having a naughty night so that it would seem like Santa sent the Elf as a warning that he was being watched. Still not sure that that part of the Elf on the Shelf is believable to Nate. He never seems too worried that the Elf might go talk to Santa.

We have the same Elf as last year and his name is Coconut (because that is what Nate named him last year). Nate used to call nutcrackers "coconuts." Hence the name for our Elf.

On this second page I used some No. 25 Christmas goodies from Ormolu. If you are looking for some great festive flair and tags for your holiday projects, I highly recommend this collection.

Thanks for stopping to see more of my December Daily. I've been working in this tiny book for so long that I am starting to freak a little bit about making a whole layout.

December Daily {part 4}

I'm still plugging away at my December Daily. We got a dog for our family Christmas present this year, and we picked her up on Dec. 6th. She is just too cute! A handful, but still cute. Her name is Cady, short for Cadet.

She was not a very willing participant in the holiday pictures I tried to take this past weekend. Here is the best one with her in it. It's not the holiday card, but still a pretty darn cute picture.

Thanks for stopping to see my blog today. I really do appreciate anyone who comes by here!

Sketch challenge {ScrapFIT}

Hi! It's the 15th, which means it's time for another challenge at ScrapFIT. I have a sketch challenge for you this month. My layout is about my Kendra Scott earrings.

The whole NextStepU team went to an event where she was a speaker, and all of the ladies came out of there with plans to purchase something from the Kendra Scott website. She is such a great speaker, but also has such an amazing history and plan for her business. I'm so proud to have a pair of Danielle earrings — she gives back so much that you feel like you donated to charity when you buy something.

This is the sketch for the challenge. You can play along at ScrapFIT for a chance at winning the latest fabulous FITkit prize. Stop over there to see what the details are.

Today is also my sister's 21st birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ASHLEY! Here is a layout I made about her that was published in the September 2012 Issue of Create: Stamping Magazine from Scrapbook Trends.

Sending you amazing birthday wishes, girl! Love ya! This year will be the best one yet!

Here is the sketch for this month's challenge. Head on over to the Scrapbook Circle blog to see the details about playing along. It's an easy sketch so you can get it done quickly during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Thanks for stopping to see my page and the sketch for the month. Hope you have a few moments in the next few weeks to play along with us!

December Daily {part 3}

"SANTA!!! I know him!" If you know Elf, you know that my husband and I said that repeatedly as we were waiting in what ended up being a very short line to see the big guy in red.

And he was a joke telling Santa! He told Nate a joke about Frosty in the summer and something about a puddle. It was funny.

I came home from work one day and made the first of many rounds of holiday cookies. I had to put that in the DD.

The 4th and 5th were fun days. On the 4th I got my copy of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine that has my card in it. And on the 5th I found out I made the Ormolu creative team, so I celebrated with extra peppermint candies on top of the peppermint mocha I made.

Thanks for stopping by to see my December Daily progress. I have been keeping pretty steady with it and feel caught up — so, that's a good thing. I'll keep sharing my pages as the month goes on.
