New arrival cards

Quite possibly my most favorite cards to make are the new baby congrats cards. I love the colors and how you can get super cutesy with the designs.

This handsome little monkey is going to my boss and his wife as they welcome a baby boy on Friday (scheduled c-section). It will be their third child, a second boy for them.

I absolutely love how this card turned out!!

The card below goes with the door knob hanger I showed yesterday. Remember I mentioned it was a gift for twin boys? Hence the 2 onesies... in case you were wondering why I chose two for this card.

For some reason, I find myself gravitating to yellow and green even when I know it's for a boy. This is my third boy card in a row that I chose this color palette for. I must have a mental block on this. I challenge myself to make a boy card using blue next time!

Thanks for reading my blog! I really appreciate you all taking a moment to stop by and visit.

Celebrating babies

Who wouldn't want to look at baby stuff? :) I spent a good portion of the last week making new baby congrats cards and this "baby sleeping" door knob hanger.

I made it for my friend Theresa to give to a friend who recently became a dad to twin boys. The outside edge of this project is a photo mat. That's it! A simple mat used for framing you photos. I covered it in Echo Park paper and went on from there.

How cute are these adorable little chicks?! I just couldn't pass them up. They are from Martha Stewart. The tree and cloud, too. The inside transparency is from Hambly and the letter stickers are Sassafras Lass.

I used fabric covered brads to hold the ribbon in place. It looks so much nicer than just gluing the ribbon to the back of the mat.

Tomorrow I have some baby cards to share with you, too. Thanks for joining me today for some baby inspiration!

The Fisher family tree

Some of you (...JULIE...) have mentioned seeing more of my Christmas tree after I showed the birds perched at the top earlier this week. Here's a nice Saturday post to get you in the holiday spirit!

And brownie points go to those of you that can guess the 2 main colors and 1 main accessory on my tree. :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I know all of our social calendars are piling on, so free-time is at a premium right now. Have a great weekend!

Gift tags idea

Hello! Yesterday was the Round Up post at Flamingo Scraps. I purchased these 7 Gypsies Rubbings from the Flamingo Scraps store and just had to make something delicate with them.

I ended up making tiny little gift tags that come with tiny little envelopes. I liked the idea that you could make these, wrap 'em up and give them as a stocking stuffer for someone else to use as gift tags.

I think I'll be making a few more of these (just sayin'...). I have some stockings to fill!!

Do you have any cute little gift ideas to share? Some stocking stuffer homemade goodness? Link it up in the comments section so I can visit your blog and see your idea!

Have a great weekend!

Sketchy Thursdays and Iron Man

It's Thursday, which means another Sketchy Thursdays sketch challenge and reveal page. As well as another chance to win. This week you have a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Maniac store. Who wouldn't want to win that?!

Heidi made another great sketch this week. Make sure you're stopping by ST to see the sketch, the DT reveal pages and also the details about the prize giveaway from Paper Maniac.

Not much explanation to this page—it's Halloween. :) Although, Nate does wear this costume at least five times a week, even as we're nearing Christmas already. Silly boy! He loves his dress up!!

Thanks for reading my blog today, and hope to see you over at Sketchy Thursdays this week!!

Using kits for holiday home decor

Like I mentioned on Monday, I used a lot of my December kit from Scrapbook Circle making holiday home decor items.

I have this off-white wood frame on my entrance-way cabinet that I change out with the seasons. I used the SC Dec. kit this time when making my seasonal picture. The picture is of Nate in his new elf hat. It has big felt ears and is way too big on him—it's adorable!

I also made this mitten ornament. It was a wood die cut that you can buy at most craft stores. Now that I've made a mitten in the standard red holiday color, I think I'm going to use some of the brighter, more trendy papers in the kit and make another one as well. Like I said—this kit is super versatile!

Thanks for stopping by today! :)

A time for JOY

The December kit from Scrapbook Circle just screamed holiday decorating to me. I made a trip out to Hobby Lobby and picked up these chipboard letters to use with the kit.

I currently have these letters on the entrance-way cabinet in my home, but I think I may soon find a way to adhere some ribbon to each letter and hang them on the tree as ornaments. Maybe... we'll see. I've been walking past them the past few days and they just look so good where I have them.

The possibilities for this kit are amazing. Check out the idea gallery at Scrapbook Circle. The girls have started posting their projects and there's so much to see!!

Make sure to put this kit on your must-have list if you plan on scrapping any holiday photos. And who won't be, 'eh? I'd also scoop one up if you're going to be making holiday cards, too.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you all are having a great start to your week!!

Kick off the holiday season!

The birds are perched in their spots near the top of the tree.

I am so ready for this holiday season! Who's with me? Did you set up your tree yet? Dig out the decorations? Make your cookie baking list? Start the holiday shopping? Or at least the list?

Happy Holidays!
