Sketch challenge {scrapbook circle}

If you saw my sneak earlier this week, you already know that the Only You kit from Scrapbook Circle is amazing. Even as a mom that scrapbooks a boy, I could not help but love the potential in this kit for some fantastic winter pages as well as Valentine's day or girly pages.

Today I have shared this month's Scrapbook Circle sketch on the blog. You can swing by there to see how to share your work with the sketch and get more inspiration from the Only You kit.

Thanks for stopping to see the sketch and my layout — it's one of my current favorites!

Now, for this month's theme: WINTER!

I used mostly blue and white card stock on this page along with some washi and dots. I used 3 Samantha Walker cut files for the snowflake wonderland I have created here. I cut the SW-CUTS-Snowflake-Border as well as 2 of the SW-CUTS-Snowflake versions.

To give the page motion, I didn't stick the cuts all the way down. The edges creep up on the flakes as well as the border.

Thanks for stopping by on this hop to see my winter layout. You can continue on to Jamie Cripps' blog for more inspiration! And don't forget to go through the step above to get the free cut file for the hop.

The Only You kit from Scrapbook Circle for January is amazing! I love Valentine's Day kits, and this one also seems to have a wonderful winter feel to it with the teal colors in the kit.

This is just a sneak peek of what I have for you next week when I reveal the sketch challenge for Scrapbook Circle for January. Looks like fun, eh?!

One of a kind {cocoa daisy}

Stopping by today to share another card with you that I made using the Pemberley kit from Cocoa Daisy. The arrows are exclusive stamps to Cocoa Daisy in this month's stamp subscription

I'm pretty sure this card will end up in Nate's lunch box one day for a surprise for him. A great boy card to remind him that he's special.

Thanks for stopping by here today!

Thank you card {cocoa daisy}

There are some amazing stamps in this month's stamp subscription for Cocoa Daisy. I love the feathers — just love them! I stamped them on pattern paper using paint dabbers and brown chalk ink to get the thick, rich look here on these feathers.

There's a chevron feather, too! Eek! I chose to use the small print one for this card because of the papers I used, but I am all about that chevron for future projects.

If you are interested in a stamp subscription to Cocoa Daisy, check that out on the site. Here is a link to the feathers. Thanks for stopping to see my card.

December Daily {part 8}

All done! My December Daily is finished. I ended it with Christmas day and had started with Black Friday, so it really is a holiday book from start to finish.

I used a lot of Echo Park, Simple Stories and Ormolu to finish up these last few pages. Thanks for reading my blog this month and coming along for the ride on my December Daily. I am definitely doing this again next year — such a rewarding project.

Sketch challenge {imaginisce}

Happy New Year! Today starts the first day of my second term with Imaginisce. I'm happy to also be helping out with sketch challenges this year, too. If you knew me back when I running Sketchy Thursdays with Heidi, you know that I love to make sketches and share them with you all. I am so excited to be sharing these with Imaginisce!

In addition to the sketch, you should also be using mostly Imaginisce product, the color blue and a word that describes your outlook for 2013.

I chose the word "FUN." I am also thinking this is my One Little Word for 2013. There are a lot of really intimidating things going on in 2013 for me both in scrapbooking and in my career. If I approach it all with the outlook that it's going to be fun, then I think it'll be a better experience overall.

As you can see, the sketch is open to interpretation as long as it closely represents the original. I sized mine done to an 8.5" x 11", but all of the elements are still there.

I hope to see you over at Imaginisce this month playing along — and thanks for stopping to see my page today.
