cards, cards and more cards

Hi there! As I've mentioned before, I am so lucky to have my cards and paper crafts for sale at La Bella Mela Boutique in Rochester, NY.

All of the cards in this post can be found for sale at La Bella Mela.

A vintage birthday card
(You may remember it from earlier this week from the Moxie Fab challenge I posted on Sunday.)

A wedding card

2 blank cards—hello and a little birdie told me...

2 blank thank you cards—lady bug and shoe

I loved making these! So much fun to just sit down and start creating—thinking of how these cards might look in the shop, and that someone who walks past me in Wegmans might have bought one of my cards to send to a love one. There is something kind of cool about that!

Thanks for reading my post today! If you live in Rochester or travel here, stop on by La Bella Mela Boutique. It is quite adorable!!

the perfect gift tag

Do you ever have those ah-ha moments? I did when I made these tags. After meeting with Robin at La Bella Mela Boutique, I was charged with the idea to come up with some cute gift tags and to also figure out how to re-purpose the scrapbook embellishments I make—possibly as pins to wear.

Vióla! These little beauties are gift tags that the mother-to-be can then wear during her baby shower. And I was so excited to use the Martha Stewart doilies that Christine Middlecamp has been showcasing on her blog. Of course I bought them after reading her posts, but had yet to try anything using them.

So, what do you think? I am also going to try and make these for brides-to-be, too. These are both for sale at La Bella Mela. Stop on by my blog tomorrow, and I'll share the cards I made for sale at the boutique.

a sunny birthday card

Hello! I hope everyone who celebrated the 4th of July had a wonderful weekend! I know most of us also have today off from work, and of course, school is out for most as well. So, enjoy the sunshine and summer!

This past weekend was also my mother-in-law's birthday, and here is the card I made for her. I have to share with you that this card is full of firsts for me.

For one, I did something with the inside of the card. Usually, I just leave the inside blank or with one simple sentiment. Thanks to the cute little window on the front of the card, I put more thought into the inside of the card.

Also, I misted the card with Maya Road mist in Sunflower yellow. I have never misted a card before. That was fun! :)

And lastly, my son added the buttons! He was making his own card for Grandma, sitting next to me in my craft room. He came over to me with the buttons and said, "Mom, it needs buttons." He picked the perfect colors and everything. I am so proud of my budding little artist.

Thanks for stopping in today!

my imperfect cracked berry

Hello! Here is the latest Who's That Girl challenge reveal. The prompt for this week is "Imperfect." We're supposed to focus on something about us we'd like to change, something that is imperfect—and this page does double-duty for me.

Not only is my Blackberry imperfect in the fact that the screen cracked 90 days into having the phone, but I'm imperfect in that I really can't live without this thing. I've only had it since December of last year, but I really do not think I can be without my Blackberry. It is so much more than a phone!

I am so crazy about parting with it, that I refuse to even ask someone at Sprint about getting it fixed. Seriously! I'm afraid they may take it from me to fix it! How bad is that?!

So, on December 18, I will be at the local Sprint store, ready to re-up, and I will get my next Crackberry... this one with insurance!!

sketchy thursdays is seeing double

The last double-page sketch we did at Sketchy Thursdays went so well, we had to do another one! Of course, if double-page layouts aren't your favorite pages to make, please feel free to still play along with a single-page version of the sketch.

You can see the latest sketch and this week's sponsor at Sketchy Thursdays.

I made my page this week with pictures from a little trip we took out on Papa's boat. Papa was getting some nibbles from the fish, and he let Nate reel them in and pose for pictures with the fish he caught.

Nate just gets so excited when sees that fish pop on out of the water.

The papers, stickers and most of the embellishments on this layout are from Echo Park Paper's newest collection, A Walk in the Park. Such a wonderful collection, too!! Great colors, wonderful patterns and fantastic sticker sheets.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to see you playing along this week at Sketchy Thursdays.

Supplies: Echo Park Paper (pp, stickers, journal spot), Making Memories (flair), American Crafts Thickers (letters), Maya Road (cloud stamps), Martha Stewart (ink)

he drives the boat

Here's another page made with the Scrapbook Circle July kit. Check out the new site if you haven't already and see what the rest of the DT made, too. There are some gorgeous pages over there!!

The pictures on this page are from a boat trip we took on the canal. Nate got to drive Papa's boat (with some help from Daddy), and he was just over-the-moon excited. I just loved the faces he was making. He kept looking over his shoulder at Grandma, whose hair was blowing all over the place. It made him laugh hysterically. It really was too funny.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I really do love this July kit. I hope you're able to order one if you're in the market for a new kit club!

the best dads squeeze into the small places

Hey there! I hope everyone is doing well. Today I have another page from the Scrapbook Circle July kit. I'm still loving the bright, fun colors in this kit. Check out the list of what's included in the kit HERE.

The picture on this page is from when we went to the playground on Nate's birthday. Brad is always so good about playing with Nate. He climbs, slides and jumps like he's still a kid, and Nate loves to have Dad by his side!

The best part is that they know to stop a second and pose for the camera! :)

I have a cool tip for you today. See the butterflies? They are from Jenni Bowlin, and I used my Smooch Spritz to spray one yellow and the other one red. I love how they turned out, and the paper took the misting really well. Try this yourself!

This page is made with the latest sketch from Design Dollies. As soon as I saw the latest one, I knew it would become a favorite of mine. It's a saver, for sure!! Great job, Kristy! I love this sketch!!!
