win some goodies, some inspiration and a lesson

First off, I had hoped to have something pretty cool to share with you today. However, I have learned a lesson—Glossy Accents does not dry quickly. It doesn't even dry slowly. It dries slower than slow.

So, my pretty little project is probably still in a half-state waiting for me to come home tonight and finish it up.

That was my lesson for you for today: Prepare well in advance when using Glossy Accents. :)

Second, you could win a Teresa Collins Documented Envelope Album Kit or a Teresa Collins Family Matters Clipboard Cover Kit. Scoot on over to the A Scrappy Design blog, where Heather from {embellish*ology} is hosting a giveaway, sponsored by LiveTeachCreate. Good luck!!

And lastly, I need to post a pretty picture to keep your creativity flowing.

Found these lil cuties in an Etsy treasury for fall. Maybe they will inspire you to start working on those fall projects... maybe even dig out the owl embellies! I know I have some hiding somewhere!

Happy Monday!! :)

PS: The DT for Sketchy Thursdays has been chosen and will be announced soon! I want everyone who applied to know that I truly wish I could have picked you all. Choosing a DT is the hardest part of this process. I really do find something great in each and every applicant and it is so difficult to turn anyone down. Just wanted to say that...

the tutti frutti mini

If you didn't already see this on the A Scrappy Design blog, here is the mini that I made with the Tutti Frutti collection. The above picture shows all of the pages, and below are two of my favorite pages.

I absolutely loved working with the cherries, and the journal spots and tags are fabulous! See that strawberry below? Yeah... that is a sticker!! Yep... so dang cool!

So, if you need something to purchase in honor of National Scrapbook Day (May 1), I would check out Heather's A Scrappy Design shop. Just sayin'... :) I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchases!

*************

I'm thanking my blog readers with a RAK this week! Stop by THIS POST HERE and leave a comment for a chance to win a RAK from me!

a scrappy design giveaway

The Design Team for A Scrappy Design had the pleasure of working with the Tutti Fruiti collection recently. Being an overachiever, I attempted to start a mini... and then proceeded to not get it finished in time—d'oh! And if you know me, that is an incredible personal disappointment... not to finish what I start.

On top of my misplaced scrappy mojo, I am also quite sick. I have been down for the count since Friday when I first got a sore throat, and now I'm all-out sick and can't seem to get better.

But that isn't stopping me from sending rays of sunshine and happy chances for prizes your way!!!

IT’S GIVEAWAY TIME AT A SCRAPPY DESIGN!
One lucky winner will receive an assortment of goodies from the Tutti Fruiti collection. Head on over to Heather's A Scrappy Design blog and leave your comment(s) for your chance(s) to win!!

And hopefully soon I'll be able to share the whole mini album with you. It's all there in my head, it's just the fever and runny nose that are blocking the creativity.

a scrappy design sale

*Use the following code: BITTERSWEET in the message to seller at checkout. She will refund the discount via PayPal when she processes your purchase.

I'm passing along Heather's sale to my lovely readers! I am on the DT for A Scrappy Design and have loved every piece she's ever sent me to work with. You can see some of the previous posts where I've used her items HERE and HERE.

I had also made these projects and never posted them other than on the A Scrappy Design site. The Doodle Cutz Heather makes are so cool to work with. I've made cards and ATCs with them.

spookiness from a scrappy design

Happy Monday! Today is the day I get to share with you what I was working on for A Scrappy Design. I LOVE what Heather sent me this month... like the Haunting Tale Journal Spots that I turned into this accordion album. Pretty cool, huh? I folded a 12" x 4.5" piece of card stock and adhered the journal spots to that. Instant mini album!

See that spider button? A Scrappy Design makes that, too! It was the perfect embellishment for this.

This card was made using A Scrappy Design's Halloween Sayings and Spiders. A little twisted wire and the spider is suspended from the hole in the front of the card... ready to send a spooky message.

And more love for the Spiders set from A Scrappy Design. Here, I suspended it from a piece of twine to make it look like it was on the tree branch.

A Scrappy Design is having a sale:
HALLOWEEN PRODUCTS ON SALE! All Halloween products are 25% off. Priced as marked. (Excludes Buttons) So, grab up these super cute items today!

hi mom!

Here is a page I did for SPCC for this week. The colors are olive, yellow, black and rose. I really like how this turned out. The background paper from Basic Grey reminds me a bit of chalkboard, so I went with a bit of a school theme with the apples, too. This picture was taken on a playground so it all fits together.

My son has been nicknamed Super Cheeser. He's started to tell me when I'm missing a good shot, hence this one where he posed at the top of the slide.

Do you love this camera?! I totally do! It's from A Scrappy Design. I colored it with a black watercolor pencil then colored a Versamark pen over that. While the Versamark was damp, I sprinkled Martha Stewart glitter on it. What a fun camera!! Head on over to the shop and scoop up some of these fun pieces for your own!

Supplies: Basic Grey Urban Prairie (pp), CollagePress (pink pp), Dotted Swiss (yellow paper), Evalicious Etsy Store (apples), A Scrappy Design (camera), October Afternoon (letter stickers), Fiskars binding punch (photo edging)
