Enjoy the ride

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THIS WEEKEND'S HOP, CLICK HERE...

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my Sketchy Thursdays page with you. I made this page with my April kit from The Sampler. Remember the Ellie's Tale paper from Sassafras Lass that I was telling you about? Here's more of that paper. Now you can see the blue side with the feathers.

At Sketchy Thursdays this week, you are playing for a chance to win a $20 credit to Freehand Scraps. Such fun kits over there—and so many kit options, too. Gotta check it out!

See the lovely pleated flower. That's also made from that blue paper with the feathers. I love the final effect it had with the rich blue and muted yellow.

TIP OF THE DAY: A glue gun is the best way to adhere these pleated flowers together. I've tried a bunch of different glues, and I am really happy with how the glue gun worked out on this one. Especially how it was able to adhere the button. Just an idea...

Does everyone know how to make these? Leave a comment if you'd like to see a tutorial on my blog about these. I'd be happy to do one for you all.

I hope to see you all over at Sketchy Thursdays this week! Link up over there before Wednesday night. :) And have a wonderful weekend!

I have a vid on how to make these medallions (pleated flowers), I also have a bloopers vid on how I had trouble making these flowers, lol.

Super cute layout. I love the design. And I totally agree, a glue gun makes those SO much easier! The rolled ones too, IMO.
