relax a bit...

I'm starting to feel like a spokesperson for Papertrey Ink!!! And, that is definitely not a bad thing. Everything they have is just so darn cute!! I can think of 100 projects to make for each adorable thing they come up with.

This amazing little stamp is from the On My Couch set. Do you see the pillow?! Can you believe it?! The set came with pillow stamps!!! Love it!

And I am going to need about 10 sheets of this Material Girl paper from Cosmo Cricket. I've used it for clouds, for trim and now for this couch. It is extremely versatile and just the best color and pattern for so many things. (The other side of the page is pretty darn cute, too!)

While we're talking about Cosmo Cricket, here's a card I made last week with some Earth Love and Early Bird. This was a baby card I made for a friend.

The stamp behind the onsie die cut (which is from the New Arrival Cricut cart), is also from Papertrey Ink. It's part of the Vintage Labels set.

OK, well that bring my cards posts to an end, so far. I have Sketchy Thursday goodness for you tomorrow, and then I have an album project I've been working on for this weekend.

Who knows, though, I just may spend the whole week making cards and have more to share.

Thanks for stopping by here!!! I truly appreciate hearing from you all!!! :)

more crafty card goodness...

More from the Studio Style stamps from Papertrey Ink! I really do love this line. I can see that I am going to get a whole lot of use out of these! I have a few peeps that I send mail to often (you know who you are!!!), so I'm sure I'll use them for my crafty pen pals.

Here's an up-close shot of the stamp. I just love all of the extra little details in this set. The pins and dots are a great touch!

Here are some cute little note cards I made to include in mailings. And believe it or not, it was fun to color all of those buttons in that jar.

I might have also been three cups of coffee deep by then, so everything was fun at the time, lol.

cute cards week!

Thanks to a little extra cash flow, I was able to splurge on the Papertrey Ink stamp sets that I have had my eye on. I picked up 4 sets, including this new one, Studio Style, released in February. (Do you know that I'm totally in love with Dawn McVey?! I love her design style.)

This weekend I really only made cards and tags, and I pretty much just spent any crafty time coloring in stamped images. It was so fun!!

Better late than never, I used this color challenge (
ROYAL BLUE, SKY BLUE, LIME GREEN) at Design Dollies for this card. I just couldn't tear myself away from my couch to post this last night for the contest. Such great colors!!

Did you notice the title of this post is cute cards WEEK? Yeah, I made a bunch... :) And for no real reason except for myself and to send to friends!!! I love that!!!

Hope your Monday is going well!!!

reading is fun and a video!

Happy Friday! Today I am sharing with you another page from the Scrapbook Circle March kit. It's the last of the four that I have made so far. And you know what... I still have a ton of pieces and paper left over! I'm sure I could make 2-3 more!

This page shows pictures of my son and BFF Dar's daughter, Karissa, reading books to each other. They are both really into the Pre-K readers. They are the Stage 1 reader books that you can find pretty much everywhere.

Nate probably has 10 of them in stages 1-2. He absolutely loves to read and can already do his letters.

And I never post videos on here, but this one goes right along with the topic for this page... and I am such a proud mama!! Here's a video of Nate doing his letters. He's 3 years old!!! I can't believe he can do this. I'm sure other kids can, but as a mom, I assume he's the smartest kid on the planet.

And, if you ever wondered what my voice sounds like... here it is. Heidi, do I have an accent?? (inside joke...)

sassy, handmade and digi all wrapped into one!

Sketchy Thursdays has gone digi this week! You don't have to submit a digi page to play along, but the DT went all-out digi to showcase this week's prize provided by Terry at Sassy Designs, Ltd.

I'm a huge fan of Terry! Not only is she just the sweetest person, but I love her papers and kits. I don't digi scrap often, but I do use digital elements when I make the Sketchy Thursdays sketches, and often Terry's elements provide great starting points for me.

Head on over to Sketchy Thursdays and check out the new sketch, read a bit about Terry and Sassy Designs, Ltd., and see the whole kit up for grabs for one lucky winner.

I Made It Blog Party

Today is also "I Made It!" blog party day! I stocked my Etsy shop again this week. I made more paper bag and vintage paper flowers. All, of course, with button embellishments.

The shop will also soon be completely stocked with fabric swatches in three different sizes and art journals I have been compiling. I love to find treasures and compiling them for you to use is so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate it so much!! And for those of you that have been leaving me super sweet comments and extra love... I could never tell you exactly how much it means to me. I'm always in awe of some of the comments I get. I am so humbled by them.

Hope to see you over at Sketchy Thursdays this week!!!

love for the garden variety and a BONUS sketch

Hi there! This page was made with the Scrapbook Circle March kit, which is sold out, I believe. And I can totally understand why they are all gone. What a fabulous kit this is!

Pretty much everything except the Jenni Bowlin BINGO card letters is from the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety line. It is so bright and fun, and have I mentioned AWESOME?!

These cute, adorable toes belong to the sweet Samantha that was on THIS page. I'm so glad that my BFF Darlene lets me scrap and share the pictures of her girls. Without them I would be stuck doing all boy pages. Which are fun, don't get me wrong, but sometimes, you need the girly stuff.

This layout was made using a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays that was made especially for Scrapfreak's February challenge. If you aren't a Freak (and I don't know why you wouldn't want to be... they are awesome!), here is the sketch for you to see and use if you would like.

Speaking of Sketchy Thursdays, you have until tonight to upload your page for the latest challenge. There's a Pebbles kit from
Your Memories Here up for grabs to one lucky winner this week!!

more scrapbook circle love

As promised, I'm here to share more of the Scrapbook Circle March kit. I've had so much fun with this kit. Literally, I sat down to make one page and ended up making four in one sitting. It was one idea after another with this kit!!

I am absolutely in love with the Jenni Bowlin banners! They are tiny and perfect! I adhered them to baker's twine for this look.

I'd love to know what you like best about this kit. If you're stalking your mailman as a Scrapbook Circle subscriber, which pieces are you most excited to get your hands on?

If you aren't getting the kit, which of these new spring items are you hoping to add to your wish list? Is there a project you have in mind already that some of these new papers would be perfect for?

I seem to be full of questions today. :) Have a great Tuesday!

who's that girl: daily routines

I went digi for my next page. Some of you know that my career is graphic design. I learned all I know in the magazine biz and work as a print production coordinator. I love my job... but that doesn't mean I would want to make digi pages all the time.

I love the traditional scrapbook page for the escape that it is for me. The creativity that it brings that is outside of the creativity that I experience on a day-to-day basis.

But, I have been working on a few digi pages lately. I have this one for Who's That Girl, and another one coming up later this week. (Sketchy Thursdays is going digi this week, folks... get ready for it!)

Who's That Girl has posted the next challenge: Daily Routines. The DT did a great job, and all I can say is that a few of us apparently LOVE coffee. And some of the pages are quite cute and funny. Head on over and check them out for inspiration.

Remember to link up your pages to the comments section and the Flickr Gallery over there. We love to leave you love!!

PS: This sketch is from Kristy at Design Dollies. I made this page weeks ago for the reveal so I didn't get to play along, but I want to give her credit. Thanks for the great sketch, dollie!!

scrapbook circle march kit and a little dollie

Over the next few days, I'm going to share with you the loveliness that is the Scrapbook Circle March kit. WOW is all I can say!! There are great colors, fabulous extras and the some of the best new products out there jam packed in this kit!

I made this page using the Design Dollies sketch for this past week. Head on over and check it out!! Those girlies know what they are doing over there. Great inspiration!

The little princess in this picture is my best friend's youngest daughter. She just had her second birthday and this was from her dancing around at her party in her new tutu. So cute!!

I love the way the burlap from the Scrapbook Circle March kit contrasts the girlie-girl of the tutu and costume jewelry.

The kit goes on sale March 1!! Scoop it up, you won't be disappointed!!
