So Happy Together {scrapbook circle}

It's nearly October, so it's time to reveal the next Scrapbook Circle kit. I was lucky enough to get to play around with this colorful kit this past weekend while I was at a crop (and hanging out with scrapbook circle friend and co-DT member, Audrey Yeager).

If you would like to scoop up one of these kits, check out the details and the Scrapbook Circle website.

I'm excited to share with you later this month the layout that was the first half of this card. The pattern here is what was left after a very fun cut on my Cameo, and Audrey mentioned that the extra pieces were perfect for a card. Thank you, Audrey! Croppin' at its best!

This paper is from Glitz Design Wild & Free Collection, called Dream Catcher. There are a lot of rich colors in this kit.

Thanks for stopping to see my card today.

World Card Making Day is this Saturday, Oct. 5th, so I have been making cards for many of my teams. Will you be making cards this week or on the weekend?

Pink Paislee and Prima hop

I'm so excited to be working with the Pink Paislee Color Wash collection again! I had so much fun working with it for CHA, I was excited to sit down and work with it again this past weekend. We are also working with Prima products, too. The Color Wash collection is the perfect partner for Prima!

I used watercolors to make a gradient coloring on both the Color Wash tag and the Prima Resist Canvas hot air balloon. Both the tag and the canvas held the watercolors really well and they dried quickly.

The background paper from Color Wash has a pre-splattered paint look to it, adding in the distressed ink over the Prima grid 6x6 stencil enhanced the look. Paint splatters from Heidi Swapp's new Color Shine Navy color was a perfect match. I am so glad she has a navy color now — my favorite!

I also used a wood embellishment from the flower collection at Prima. I love how the leaf looks on the Color Wash tag. It inked up really well, too. Great coverage on it.

Check back on the Pink Paislee blog all week for more work with the Color Wash and Prima products from some of the rest of the team. It's sure to be an inspiring week!

My Krafty Kringle Kit for December Days

I am so excited to have a custom December Days kit in the Whimsical Twist shop!
I built this kit with the non-daily scrapper in mind. Last year, for my December Daily, I used a non-Project Life style kit and documented from Black Friday to Christmas Day in a kraft album with a spiral. I loved that style and now want to bring it to you!
Unlike the day-in-the-life kits, the Krafty Kringle Kit is meant to mark the events and celebrations from Thanksgiving to New Years. Pockets and tabs throughout the kit help you to document and save lists, receipts, ticket stubs — you name it! Without the pressure to get something done each day, you can make small pages in the 7x10 album as you go along when you have time. Gorgeous holiday papers from Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp keep it festive as embellishments from Webster's Pages, Elle's Studio, and My Mind's Eye jazz up your journaling. Tuck things away in festive treat bags and fun pockets in the Farmhouse Paper Co. Craft Album.
Krafty Kringle December Days Kit includes the following contents:
  • Dry Goods 10 x 7 craft album (Farmhouse Paper Company)
  • Snow Village 6 x 6 paper pad (Pink Paislee)
  • Believe 12 x12 Jingle All The Way patterned paper (Heidi Swapp)
  • Believe 12 x 12 Peppermint Stick patterned paper (Heidi Swapp)
  • Believe 12 x 12 Merry & Bright patterned paper (Heidi Swapp)
  • Christmas Snowflakes Overlay (Webster's Pages)
  • Large Gold Polkadot Washi (Freckled Fawn)
  • Noel Tabbed Cards (Elle's Studio)
  • Noel Lil Snippets Labels (Elle's Studio)
  • Exclusive kraft and red diagonal striped mini sack (Whimsical Twist)
  • Exclusive white polkadot mini sack (Whimsical Twist)
  • Chalk Studio Decorative Tags (My Mind's Eye)
We are looking forward to helping you document the holiday season! Join us for classes, too!

Everything is available for pre-order and will begin to ship in October. Looking forward to documenting the holiday season with you!

My sweet boy {lily bee}

Today on the Lily Bee blog we are lifting a fan for our sketch challenge. You can see the original layout and what Cindy and Nicole made by scooting on over to the Lily Bee blog

I used a combination of Sweet Shoppe, Pinwheel and Destination collection for this layout. I used all three papers in the Lily Bee collections that had hearts on their papers, and I love how they all come together in the layering behind the photo.

The sweet chipboard heart and word bubbles from the Flip Flops paper help to anchor the photo cluster. I also used a chevron mask with white ink in my background. It's tough to see in the pictures, but I love how it turned out with white on my gray background paper.

I used a combination of Letter Stickers from the Pinwheel collection and a cut from my Cameo to make the title. A few white mist splatters and the layout is complete!

Thanks for stopping to see my work today. Don't forget to stop at the Lily Bee blog to see what the original layout was!

Fall banner {whimsical twist}

Today over on the Whimsical Twist blog, we are sharing projects that highlight Scallops/Borders/Banners/Doilies. We want you to play along with us, so check out the blog post and share your work that falls under these categories.

I made this using the My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio 6x6 paper pad and Cut & Paste enamel dots, some doilies I had in my stash and the Glitz Dapper Dan 6x6 paper pad. The orange card stock is from Core'dinations and the twine is from The Twinery.

I used the Dapper Dan collection for the acorns. I cut them on my Cameo using a studio file, and the woodgrain and brown papers in that collection were perfect for giving the acorns texture and a woodsy feel.

Here's what it looks like hanging up in my front entranceway. It's my favorite place to decorate with the seasons, and a banner always helps pull it all together.

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the Whimsical Twist blog for more details on the challenge, and if you have some things you want to shop for, don't forget to use the AUTUMN13 coupon code for 25% off your order.

Sketch challenge {scrapbook circle}

Yesterday on the Scrapbook Circle blog, I shared with you all the September sketch challenge. You can learn more about the details to play along by heading on over to the blog. The sketch is also in the bottom of this blog post here.

I've been having so much fun with the Photo Goes Here kit this month. I love the blues and yellows — especially as I finish up with summer photos.

There are always some great unique custom tags, printables and stickers in each Scrapbook Circle kit, like this "the cast" sticker. I'm pretty sure it meant "cast" as in "cast of characters" but I couldn't help using it tongue-in-cheek as in "cast a line."

Here's the sketch for you! I do hope you'll be able to play along with us this month. One lucky player will receive an Elle's Studio Prize Pack.

If you feel like shopping, or still need a Scrapbook Circle kit so you can play along, make sure to use my code for 10% off your Scrapbook Circle order: dianaf10off.

Thanks for stopping here today!

Day-to-day {lily bee}

At Lily Bee this week, we've been sharing work where we use one thing two ways. Since today is Lily Bee's day to share "project life" style projects, I made a 4x6 studio file that was the same, but different.

Here, you can see the "good times" card with a sailboat in the middle and star accents. If you look further down, you'll see the same "good times" card with an apple and confetti accents. You can also download this FREE STUDIO FILE as my gift to you.

I love using the conversation bubbles from the Pinwheel collection's page Flip Flops on the 3x4 spaces — an easy way to add journaling.

The first page was about our trip out on the boat this summer, and now we are into school time. These pictures were from the first day of school and his meet the teacher day. How fast the summer went!

Here is the second card — a second way to do the first card by changing the sailboat to an apple and stars to confetti.

More conversation bubbles and a few Chit Chat Stickers and Circle & Tag Stickers complete the look on this 3x4 card.

Thanks for stopping here today to see my day-in-the-life pages. I had fun making these and know I'll be grabbing for that "good times" 4x6 card again. Don't forget to get the free download!

Supplies: Pinwheel collection (Pattern paper: Flip Flops, Chit Chat Stickers, Label Stickers, Letter Stickers, Chipboard Stickers). Destination Collection (Pattern paper: Passport, Postcard, Circle & Tag Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers). Sweet Shoppe Collection (Pattern paper: Lemon Drop, Candy Stick, Gumball)

It's Day 12 of our hop for the Fall Issue of PaperHaus Magazine. I am over-the-moon excited to be a contributor to this magazine. For this issue, you can see my card sketch on page 103, my card on page 105, and my home decor idea for your Thanksgiving or Fall celebration beginning on page 54-57. Now for this month's theme: Mix and Match!

I have to admit that at first this theme gave me some angst. There is just so much to choose from, it was tough to get my ideas focused. In the end, I ended up mixing Carta Bella Cool Summer with Giddy Up and then using a silhouette file for the card and a stamp for the tag.

Everything coordinates so well because Samantha is flawless in her execution of her product lines, but it was so fun finding these pieces separately and coordinating them together.

This tag was fun to make and I used gold embossing powder with the red ink to make the reindeer pop off the tag. Gold sequins add some holiday magic to the final projects.

Supplies: Carta Bella (Cool Summer: Ice Cream Borders, Giddy Up Boy: Yee Haw) JustRite (Vintage Labels Three Dies, Holiday Magic Stamps) Silhouette Store (Card Reindeer).

Your next stop on the hop is Jamie Cripps... Click on the image below to keep on hopping!

Play ball! {imaginisce}

For the month of September, the designers at Imaginisce are each taking a day to inspire you using any collection and an Imaginisce tool. I made this layout using Childhood Memories and the i-top.

I used the i-top to make the baseball embellishments. You can see more about the i-top, the coordinating punches and my process on the Imaginisce blog today.

I had a lot of fun making this page. Making 3x4 cards from Imaginisce papers reminded me to use these more for my project life pages. The patterns and colors are so fun put together like this!

Thanks for visiting here today to see my layout! I have to admit that I'm sad local baseball is all done for the season — already looking forward to next year!

New baby card

Was anyone else busy crafting this weekend? It was a gorgeous fall-like weekend here, and I spent some time sitting under a sunny window making pretty things.

I don't have any design team posts for today, so I thought I'd share a quick picture I snapped of this new baby girl card I made on Saturday evening.

Happy Monday to you!

Chalk Studio cards {whimsical twist}

Hello! Today I am blogging over at the Whimsical Twist blog. I was so excited to get the 6x6 paper pad and chipboard pieces from the Chalk Studio by My Mind's Eye from the Whimsical Twist shop. I was afraid to cut into for the longest time — and then I was inspired.

I love the mix of tan, blue and pink with the blackboard papers. It makes it so easy to create very different looks with one common theme — the chalkboard.

The chipboard pieces are great, too. So many different pieces on one sheet. I love the mix of blank and sentiment options.

Don't forget to check out the Whimsical Twist shop for all of the new My Mind's Eye goodies. Right now there is a code for 25% off your total order: AUTUMN25. Make sure to scoop up all of the new CHA releases while you are there.

Project Life {scrapbook circle}

As I shared yesterday, I love the Photo Goes Here Scrapbook Circle September kit. The 12x12 sheet Fancy Pants Memories Captured Cards was screaming to be a part of a project life page. The chalkboard and polaroid themes in one sheet is genius!

We went to Ohio a few weeks ago and I snapped a picture of Nate visiting his great grandparents. Anytime we can see them is a treat — too many months (and years) can pass between our visit with them. I need to make sure to make that trip more often.

We also had a stay-cation in the middle of August and had some great impromptu trips to restaurants and the range where we took quick pictures on our phones. Gotta make sure those get documented!

Two of the 3x4 cards in these pages were from the exclusive Scrapbook Circle tags sheet ("love this" and "this was amazing"). I also used the exclusive Scrapbook Circle stickers ("say cheese" and "let's go").  I love getting these fun exclusives in the kits.

Do you think you need this kit? Well, you're right! Make sure to use my discount (dianaf10ff) at checkout for 10% off your order. Can't beat that, right?!

Photo Goes Here {scrapbook circle}

It's the beginning of a new month and time to take a look at the latest kit from Scrapbook Circle. I love the Photo Goes Here September kit. I was instantly smitten with the stars and feathers, but a deeper dive into the kit had me swooning over the Fancy Pants and Echo Park goodness.

I always whip up at least one card with my Scrapbook Circle kits, and I love how this one turned out. I am always so happy when scrapbook supplies have sentiments on them — it keeps us card makers happy.

Here's a snapshot of the kit. Make sure you scoop one up — and with a discount! Use coupon code dianaf10off for 10% off your order.
