I will love you... {cocoa daisy}

Just stopping in with a card today using the He Said She Said Cocoa Daisy kit. As I said before — I love that flower stamp! And how cute are those little wooden people?! Adorable!

If you are getting the Cocoa Daisy kit this month, you are in for a real treat! It was easy to create with and everything was fun to work with.

Thanks for stopping in today to see my card! Have a great weekend!

Days like this... {cocoa daisy}

The He Said She Said kit for Cocoa Daisy has some wonderful Echo Park For the Record 2. I had these pictures of Nate and his best buddy at Chuck E. Cheese that went perfectly with the playful designs and colors in that collection.

The flower stamp in the Sept. kit with the little circles at the end make perfect corner accents. I will use that stamp over and over again for sure!

You can get the background herringbone mask from Crafter's Workshop in the Cocoa Daisy shop. I used a light blue ink on the bright blue card stock to give the look of white without it being as bright as a white ink would have been.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout. The He Said She Said kit is sure to go fast. Swing by the Cocoa Daisy site today to surf through the DT gallery for more sample pages using the kit and add ons.

Loving the Echo Park here today? You can win some!! Head over HERE to the Cocoa Daisy blog for a chance to win!

He Said She Said {tips}

Today on the Cocoa Daisy blog I'm talking about tips and tricks. For me, the kraft negative-cut days of the week tags from Ormolu needed to be used for more than days of the week. As a working mom, most of my pictures and memories happen on Saturdays and Sundays.

Here are some tags I made into a mini album using the letters to guide the topics. Monday = Madison, Tuesday = This Trio, Wednesday = Winning and Thursday = Trying to skate.

I used little label stickers and die cuts to write out the wording.

Super fun, right?! These pictures are all from Madison's birthday party and it's great to have them all in one place like this.

If you get the Cocoa Daisy kit, use an out-of-the-box idea for these tags. I think you'll be glad you did!

He said, She said {cocoa daisy}

The He said, She said Cocoa Daisy kit for September is fabulous! I spent a good chunk of time working with it last night and snapped these pictures with my camera phone as I worked.

The custom Cocoa Daisy stamps for this month are so versatile. Not only are these easily incorporated into layouts, but I can see myself using them for Project Life.

Thanks for stopping to peek at what I've been working on! I hope to see you at the Cocoa Daisy reveal on the site August 28th at 9 p.m. (EST).

Quick card {and my workspace}

Hi! Dropping in today to share a quick card for a client that experienced a loss. Sympathy cards are always so tough for me to make. I always feel sad while I make them.

And here is my "Workspace Wednesday" a day late because of the Monster Mash reveal for Imaginisce yesterday. Which, by the way, did you see it? If not… scroll down! If you are looking for a Halloween collection — it's a great one! Share your workspace on Julia's blog and take a peek at what others are up to!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Monster Mash {imaginisce}

It's Monster Mash time on the Imaginisce blog! I am so in love with this collection and think you will be, too. It has amazing patterns and colors for the fall and Halloween seasons.

For the layout, I cut the house using the Cameo and then began layering with all of the wonderful elements that come with the Monster Mash collection.

I love the bats and all of the words that come in both the stickers and the die cuts. The "BOO!" on this page is one of the canvas stickers.

I also used the Cameo to make this bat goodie bag. Have you seen the Halloween candy yet? Yep — it is out in the Wegmans stores in our area. Brad grabbed a bag of Candy Corn M&M's and I promptly stole them for this project. Poor guy, I keep taking his candy for my projects!

This bat was tough to get a picture of. I'm not a fan of shine or reflection off papers, but this guy had a lot of corners and the paper I used has some great shine to it. It really is a sharp looking project.

Thanks for stopping by to see my work with the Monster Mash collection. I know you'll be seeing it again soon — I just love it! Check out the Imaginisce blog for more work from the DT.

Blackberry margarita {club ck sketch}

Hi! Today I'm sharing the page I made using Ashley's Club CK sketch over on the Club CK site. You can see her sketch HERE. And, of course, play along if you have the time.

I took this picture last month when hubs and I had an impromptu day date. This blackberry margarita is at Friday's if you are interested in having one — it was tasty! I used mostly scraps of my favorite papers and patterns for this. I love how fun it looks.

Thanks for stopping by to see my page! Hope your week is starting off well.

Olympic dreams

Hello! Today I am sharing a challenge page with you. I used Sketch #221 from Creative Scrappers to get my creative mojo flowin'! When I saw the sketch from Nicole, I knew instantly that I would want to use it.

The circles in the sketch reminded me of the Olympics (we're all still seeing rings everywhere, aren't we?) and I remembered snapping this picture of Nate after he won some medals at his daycare's summer games. He won gold in sprinting and in the hula hoop competition.

It's a great sketch, so I hope you'll stop by and play along. And thanks for stopping over here today!

Cocoa Daisy {Sept. sneak peek}

Cocoa Daisy is making it easy for you in September with the kit, He Said, She Said. They put together a collection of papers, embellishments, and alphas that get along so well. The kit features rich blues, pinks, aquas, yellows and greens, and exclusive potty people stamps to finish out the theme. The add-on kits are cleverly named HisHers, and Compromise.

The September stamps include the Today Journaling Block, stylized Dandelions with a Little Bird set, and the He Said/She Said set.

We're also celebrating the anniversary! Get in on the action and you could win! Enter the word "GRAB BAG" when you check out for your chance to win.

Thanks for stopping by today to sneak a peek at what Cocoa Daisy has in store for you for September!

A summer card

I found a new site! If you have a Cameo and are often looking for inspiration to kick start what you make using your Cameo, this is the site for you. It's called The Cameo Spotlight

The first challenge is to make something inspired by SUMMER. Here's my popsicle card!

I used the Echo Park popsicles in the Silhouette store. First I cut it out of the white paper, edging the stick portion into the pop part so that it would create a solid cut. Then I made the popsicle about 20% smaller, moved the stick down again, and cut out the red and yellow parts. The white part of the card is popped up with foam dots on top of Echo Park Everyday Eclectic paper from the 6x6 pad.

Thanks for stopping to see my card. It's always fun to create with the Cameo!

ScrapFIT {sketch challenge}

It's time for another sketch challenge at ScrapFIT. I have made a quick sketch for you this month. With it being summer, I know we all have a ton of pictures and valuable time to document these moments. Hopefully you can find some time to play along with us this month.

My page documents Nate and his dad at the range. Nate doesn't shoot (obviously), and in fact we usually find ourselves on the playground nearby or sitting in the car on our Kindle and DS, but this particular time we stopped for a few pictures.

We'll be glad we have these pictures some day. I don't bring my Canon when we take the drive out to the range, but thanks to my smart phone, at least we have some pictures.

Here's the sketch for ScrapFIT. Stop by the blog to see what everyone else made for the reveal.

And thanks for stopping to see my layout. I am nearing 1,000 blog posts and it amazes me each and every time I post here what has come from having this place to share and connect with you all. Thank you again for visiting here and sharing your comments with me!

Seabreeze {using the Cameo}

Hi! I had the idea for this layout in my head for a little while now. I knew when I had so many photos from our company picnic to Seabreeze Amusement Park that this would be the time to try it.

I cut little tabbed folders from the Cameo and sized my photos in Photoshop to little thumbnail sizes. I got 4 or 5 up on a 4" x 6" — to give you an idea of how small they are.

 The bottom folder has 3 extra picture in it to hold some more memories in addition to the ones you can see on the layout. I need to remember this idea — I always have more pictures than I manage to get on the page.

Thanks for stopping to see my layout! It was nice to making something just because. I need to do that more often.

Back to School {imaginisce}

It's Back to School week at the Imaginisce blog. Nate won't go back to school until September, but it was definitely a great reminder to get the last of his Kindergarten pages finished. I had one more layout I wanted to make before his first grade pictures started rolling in.

Nate had gotten two Caring Kids awards from his teacher and I wanted to find a way to tuck them into a special layout. I cut this apple card from the Cameo and used it as a pocket for the awards. A row of i-rock gems for the stem makes the apple shine!

Thanks for stopping to see my layout today! I hope all of you are having a great start to your week.

Sketch challenge {scrapbook circle}

It's time for a new sketch challenge! I shared a new sketch on the Scrapbook Circle blog today. Stop on by and see what we're up to and play along with us! Use your Scrapbook Circle kit, share your page, and you could end up in the reveal post on August 24st. Check out the details on the site.

I love this kit! As I said earlier, this kit just screams summertime to me. The distressed wood papers remind me of a playground. And the Simple Stories paper in the kit made for the perfect summer phrases.

Here is the sketch. Hope you can find some inspiration in it and play along!

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout and the latest sketch challenge at Scrapbook Circle.
